I wholeheartedly agree! White text on a dark background is such a strain on the eyes, it is rough. I know everyone rushes dark mode for some reason these days, but reading a lot of text becomes really exhausting really really quickly.
While writing this post, I actually have to focus quite hard to proof read, because the contrast is just so intense. I really wish for a light mode with proper contrast.

There are no subforums for the vehicles ( ground forces, airforce, navy )
For national communities ( e.g. German community ), there are no sub forums at all
2+3 means a huge chaos, instead of a sorting all topics into a tree structure. Frustated readers who must read headlines of non-relevant topics…

There might have been a problem with the size of the old forum, i.e. that the size of the database was too large.
If so, just setup a new forum with the old software ( so restart ) and keep the old forum read-only forever.

Reddit is the only alternative funnily enough, of all places.
The whole being dark issue is more niche than anything. Dark modes are used as it’s much easier on the eyes not only for looking at for extended periods of time but also when in darker environments. Usually there’s an option in settings to help personalize your experience on the website though.
But there are actually many people, who didn’t sit in an dark as eff Room to begin with. 😂
It’s not niche at all, every standard software is able to be personalized / able to be switched through multiple themes.
Only Dark Mode is just dumb.

I like that euphemism, ‘precautionary measure’, already managed a couple of days for writing stuff that was not supposed to be written apparently, got promoted during that time & couldn’t even do the advanced tutorial for being silenced…

Nah, it is not. Dark mode is terrible for reading, letters are harder to read and they are blurry. Dark mode is only good for reducing eye strain from bright light when you try to interact with screens but it doesn’t make it easier to read at all. Dark mode all time is just a fad and bad for your eyes.
I have seen that too many times. The amount for your post to be shadowbanned/hidden is too low. Like 5 flag and your post is gone. I wonder if mods can flag posts themselves.
It’s 3 by default. If they lifted it to 5 that would be an improvement.
Pretty sure that’s the message you get now when a mod agrees with the “community” flagging and you’re awaiting their decision on sanctions.
Someone know if Posting Suggestions is still blocked? Can’t backup old suggestions on the New Forums as of yet… Temporary freeze on new suggestions

I’ve been back on the forum for a long time. The new design is a disaster. Why would someone do that?
For real this change is frankly awful. Who asked for this?
I don’t know what it is, I got put on hold yet again without a reason for a whole week, still no one able to tell me why it’s happening, what a miserable place this forum is.
