This is a step for gaijin to cover up the history and the truth. If you update the new forum, at least transfer the old content or completely solve the previous mistakes

my posts are also randomly being flagged, not sure why as its not even the worst ones i have said XD

hey this new forum was a bad idea nobody likes it, its a hot mess, ppl want the old one back there is no remedy and stop drinking while on duty. end
then you would actually do something useful instead of writing meaningless texts that say nothing and are writen to say nothing

U can Edit ur posts now but that that was not a given from thee start shows how bad this new forum is.
a problem is you can’t undo or amend your own flag once you’ve created it in any way.
Well… it could be a good thing… but we may be able to toggle it on/off… I can ask about it
But I will pass on to see if we can expand Here about some visual details to see / how a post changes once enough have flagged something… also asking about if it is public knowledge about how many flags it takes too

I can’t agree with this one, IMO the topic structure was to complicated, unnecessary subdivision like Machinery > vehicle type> nation> vehicle type etc.

Can’t disagree with you more, was imo the perfect structure for a boatload of different vehicles types in different nations.
Additionally, you could see in 1 second if there was something added in your favored (sub) section.
A boatload of stuff and knowledge well arranged.
With this forum, it’s not a thing anymore.
I need to tag everything beforehand.
In my eyes, that’s a big step backwards.
Same with the bad UI, boatload of unused space and exclusively black theme as well as the trust system - wich only serve Gaijin and it’s mods, as well as white knights, but non of the regular community members.

Some call folder structure obsolete, and this database structure the way forward.
Problem with old system was that it did not reflect vehicle structure in game. Is Ozelot light vehicle or general/upcoming ?
There are many identical vehicles in multiple nations TT etc. so in cases when vehicle falls into multiple categories database approach is simply better.
Anyhow number of topics were so little that vehicle class subdivision was unnecessary.
I have not been here for a long time. What is happening to the world?
I can’t find any old posts, suggestions, bug reports, historical documents.

That was just poor decision making, we have light/medium/heavy/TD/SPAA and then the missile carriers but then you only make categories for half of them and put the other half under general mixed with upcoming? Either you create a category for all of them or none of them, but it was the usual half assed attempt that was neither.

Yes but everything should have been ported and its not that it cant be done.
That this did not happen show either the inability of Gaijin or the unwillingness and both are bad.

They were disorganized and crammed full of junk, and a LOT of it would’ve been people whinging and moaning about how bad the game is, staff is, forums is, and all the rest of how bad it was…
The issue I now have is the ‘limit’ unless I contribute more, and get more feedback or something, which makes it very hard to discuss, much the same as the chat timer in game.
I’ve been off the forums for 2 days because of that timer saying I couldn’t post for 10 hours because I was too new.
Just dumb.

From the company whose trust level is still trash as far as the community is concerned. Trust once lost is nearly impossible to get back. You need to revert this change and concentrate on remembering who it is keeping your company in business. You (Gaijin) are still on very thin ice. This is not the time to be screwing with the forum, the only way your community that you say you want to keep around can talk to you. Actions. Speak. Louder. Than. Words.

I guess this is a lost cause.
I’ve been getting into this Forum ONLY to check this very thread in hopes of seeing news stating that the old Forum would not be going to be taken from us or that, AT VERY LEAST, we will be having all of its threads ported seamlessly into the new one.
But no. All I see is “everything is fine because it will be on read only for 2 years before being erased from existence forever” and “just port or repeat whatever you want yourself”.
So much information, so many documents, so much effort, wasted and lost…

I voiced my unhappiness with their conduct. It might just be coincidence but a have a post pending for now more than 24 hours, while it is pending, I cant post anything else. Maybe just maybe there are a few bad apples, but what do you know?..
Certainly preferred the old forum. This one is difficult to navigate and read past posts without going back over previous one already read?
