BR changing of A6M52a/b to 6.0 is totally insane

Yes, that’s why I’m advocating for an actual, comprehensive tutorial system for War Thunder. What you quoted was a general statement as a reply to the other guy that is deluded, thinking that tutorials can’t teach. I wasn’t saying the tutorial that exists in War Thunder right now teaches us everything we need (it barely has any content).

Are you going to give any arguments as to why tutorials and trials don’t teach anything, or are you going to just go “pffff no” on my posts? Participate in some discussion.

You wanted precise examples? Here are some:

Spoiler

Fighting game tutorials can teach you all sorts of techniques.

Gran Turismo license tests teach you how to handle your car and give demonstrations how to do it.

Now imagine if War Thunder had a comprehensive tutorial system, that would teach you techniques like energy trapping, reversals, and give matchup advice, like choosing between committing to turns or climbing away from specific planes. Would you really not learn anything from that? And would you not want to make sure all players you fight against knew these things?
Also, showing newbies where to shoot in tanks is solid advice.

Wont change the average player style btw

They dont,trial and error does
You will never be a skilled sharpshooter from tin air just cause “ah well i saw a tutorial on it”
You will never be a skilled driver from tin air simply cause “Well the video told me how to turn a wheel and use the pedals”
You will NEVER know all the combos and when to do them simply cause the “Tutorial showed me”
A tutorial its a basic entry level stuff, you learn the rest by yourself

Atp as i said before, you just wanna implement the system that WoT uses which tells people where and where to NOT shoot people

And yet you will never beat me on a head to head race, youre using offline examples, try to do those on an online game, player dont need tutorials

Fortnite never teached kids to crack 90s and be cracked at building around and yet…the average kid does it,clearly an intellect issue at that point if you permit my crude words

I can make more examples btw and why it wont work

Just go play World of Tanks at that point or go to Arcade? If you struggle just go play Arcade, cause here we are talking about GRB/ARB not GAB/AAB

Damn, dude really said textbooks don’t teach

All Zeroes lack the realistic problem of compressing at speeds. Currently. The A6M can get a nearly guaranteed free kill if it’s above an enemy, especially if the altitude is substantial. This makes it where the aircraft can chase down a P-47 and he can’t do anything to it besides reach near max speed to outrun it. But if he can’t reach that high speed in time, he’s basically screwed. This is legit why people spam the B7A2 because it gets a huge airspawn to do just that.

Honestly, a good few planes compress way less than they should, but the A6M is the most egregious.

No you are wrong.B7A has a normol speed,a littleslow but enough. But the 5.7br zeros speed is too slow. What you say is that some player don’t know how and when to keep speed and altitude,so they becames the zeros’ snack.I have shaked off the higher zeros many times, and i can tell you responsibly,if you’re driving a energy fighter, zeroes will never catch you if you keep a high speed or stay above 2000 meter.

So you think reading a manual or seeing a video you will make you go pro i guess, youre either delusional or give too much trust into people and their understanding capabilities

The Ryusei is not a Zero and does not handle like a Zero

You’re not getting it.

Say I’m in a P-47D. I am doing a steady climb at 300kmh. The A6M3 climbs substantially faster than the P-47D. In the same timeframe, the A6M will be almost 1000m higher This isn’t a metric of “keeping your altitude.” This is because the A6M just has a better climbrate.

The A6M decides to dive on the P-47. The A6M accelerates very quickly in a dive. The P-47 sees this and has to gain speed. The A6M is now going 650kmh. The P-47 needs to now turn tail and dive away so the A6M can’t get even near him, the A6M doesn’t even need to do a crash dive either to reach these speeds. Unlike aircraft like the Bf-109 or Fw-190 where you can force an overshoot. You cant force the A6M to overshoot.

It can pull this at almost 700kmh. This should literally be impossible. Even at speeds as low as 320kmh the A6M had uncomfortable control stiffening IRL. these high speeds should just lawn dart it. If it had it’s realistic flight peformance it’s BR would be fixed.

The B7A2, especially the Homare, people can do very similar things, the main benefit is that it gets a super high airspawn, it’s only real ‘weakness’ in this regard is it’s roll compression at high speeds but that only lasts for so long.

So don’t fly directly at the A6M, what is the issue

No it wouldn’t. This is fully and entirely illogical. The ONLY reason they are the BR they are, read: the ONLY ONLY ONLY reason they are this BR, is because they turn good. Any half baked decent pilot already does not die to A6Ms.

and P-47D is substantially faster and can cruise at almost the Zero’s IAS rip speed

every time it gets mentioned, Zero compression speeds get lower. someday it’ll takeoff and it’s already compressing!

Actual flight testing reveals they didn’t compress anywhere this badly until at much higher speeds.

Think for a second

Why does it turn so good? If the lack of control stiffening is allowing the plane to turn way harder than it should. Then the lack of control stiffening is the problem. The A6M’s would only be good at very slow speeds.

The F4U at 320kmh could partially OUTTURN an A6M5

image
At 480kmh the A6M3 compresses badly

This doesn’t happen in-game, as per above video.

So the A6M can dive on a P-47, and the P-47 will need to take substantial amount of time to actually run away and slowly bleed the A6M’s speed. If the A6M properly handled correctly. There would be no issue with forcing an overshoot instead of just forcing the match to be a constant goose chase.

Fights don’t take place at 600kph. Nothing you say would actually cause bad players to stop losing to A6Ms. It would just cause GOOD PLAYERS to have an EVEN EASIER TIME than they ALREADY DO. A6Ms would CONTINUE TO RAISE IN BR REGARDLESS because they TURN WELL IN DOGFIGHTS and thats literally all they need to do to skyrocket in BR

Fights don’t usually begin and end at 600kmh, but they can definitely start there.

The A6M pulls like a reserve tier aircraft at any speed. You can’t energy fight it because it doesn’t matter how fast you force it to go, it just turns on a dime. So if you try to use speed to force an overshoot. Impossible. It’s why people get shitted on by it because the plane just throws logic out the window.

Even Sim players are complaining about it.

“stay with” for half a circle doesn’t suggest outturning at all

at best that’s pulling lead (with flaps no less)

That’s not outturning

They would just never dive on you and keep their altitude advantage.

That’s not energy fighting either

People lose to Zeros because they’re too busy doing 400kph on the deck in a full downtier

And before you complain, this is well within its maximum maneuverability speed range.

So the enemy now has to think now before engaging you? At this point, this just sounds like you don’t want the actual realistic FM nerf the A6M should get. Which would move it’s BR down.

That’s literally part of energy fighting. If you’re taking advantage of it’s overspeed compression, that’s part of it. You’re taking advantage of ‘energy’

I have already stated this, in this thread.

Feel free to look at the comparison charts with other aircraft and in roll rate.

No, you are taking advantage of your LACK of energy. It’s also a last ditch effort in most aircraft because you’ll get one shot opportunity and you will 100% die if the other guy has opposing thumbs.

I’m trusting this video’s inflight tests over whatever you produce.

Me watching again people make conclusions with only about US sources (well what to do if someone seriously says that US docs about Japanese vehicles are more correct than Japanese one) and again reading very common things about control hardness while Zero had like 4 different configurations which affect to roll rate for example but who cares
