You forgot the F-5E, which has very good missiles for the br and is often in redfor.
The only possible-ish counter is the Mirage F1 (11.7), and not a lot of people play it, much less properly
Unless im mistaken, its 11.7. So yes, will just make the 11.7 brackets even more unplayable, but wont impact the 11.3 bracket too much.
Same for the Mirage F1. Yeah, when France is allied with US/Britain/Israel. The Mirage F1s will probably be the strongest Bluefor aircraft in game and will basically carry bluefor teams… But… 50% of the time they are matched WITH the soviets which just makes things even worse for the Bluefor team as they now have to face the Mig-23MLD AND Mirage F1s with only really 11.0 and 11.3 aircraft (as most of the bluefor 11.7 stuff is ground attackers like the A-10C, F-111 and Gr1)
Britain and US have a real gap in fighters between 11.0 and 12.0 where things like the F-4S and Tornado F3 shine (im surprised neither of them have been nerfed though)

Honestly, I’ll just leave this br bracket for redfor since they get absolutely stomped in higher brs; it’s their last fighting chance

Yeah… But just how Bluefor cant get any lobbies at top tier because redfor all quit. The same will just be true for 11.3 and 11.7 now but for Redfor.
Top tier is limited by available additions and cant really be fixed until soviets and china get better top tier aircraft (Which Im fairly certain the J-10 is already mitigating but im not playing that bracket at all at the moment)
But at least with the 11.3 bracket, aircraft could just get buffs or sane BRs to make things more balanced. If I play Sim at all (which im not because of a number of year old bug reports ive gotten completely fed up waiting for)
Its 10.7 or below in things like the Sea Harrier FRS1e or 12.0 in the Tornado F3.
But its just things like the fact they are refusing to lower the AMX A-1A or Sea Harrier FRS1 down to 11.0 but apparently the Mig-23MLD is an extremely weak aircraft at the moment and needed a major buff.

Yeah. Like people complaining about the Mig-23 FM nerfs. Im fairly confident its still one of the strongest fighters at its BR. But the key thing is you now have to use manual wing sweep instead of auto. Which takes more skill. But because most players leave it in auto. They struggle

I have the wing sweep bound to my side mouse buttons and engage manual whenever I merge 🤣 In RB, I keep the wings swept back in the late stages of the match to force R60M headons while zooming around the map
Edit: tbqh i didn’t feel the fm nerf at all. It still slaps and the engine is still a rocket than can rip ur wings off
Yep, I need to get better at managing wing sweep now in the Tornado F3. Usually I left swept back 99% of the time as I was just zooming around the map, but now we have a little dogfight potential… Might be worth mastering (in sim, I have dual throttle HOTAS for it)
Fighting them, I share that experience. Though they dont seem quite as confident in the BVR joust, and thats all the nerf Ive seen out of them

If only the wings adjusted a bit automatically even when in manual mode (like the tomcat does), the tornado would be even better. I feel like the wings are too flimsy and sensitive to speed, so I keep em automatic unless under 1000 kph
I use kts, but 500+ no less than 60% sweep, above 600kts be more like 80%+.
I think I prefer the totally manual control, though actually the auto does quite a good job these days. It was horrible a year ago, but theyve tweaked it to a good place I think

The premium Mirage F-1C is one of the most popular Rank 7 planes in sim. And there isn’t really much skill required to play it properly.

Being an 11.7, it’s irrelevant to the 11.3 bracket, and even in the 11.7 bracket, France is paired with the soviets 50% of the time anyway. So then it’s US/Britain’s 10.7-11.0 fighters and 11.3-11.7 ground attackers Vs the Mig23MLD AND the Mirage F1C-200.
According to Thunderskill, the Mirage F-1C is the 8th most popular plane in SB. It’s the 4th most popular if you do not count top tier planes.
The planes that are more popular than the F-1C are MiG-23ML, Av-8B Plus, and F-111.
Thunder skill is not a reliable source of info. But even still. Doesn’t change the fact that the US’s best fighter at 11.3 or 11.7 is a 10.7 phantom with no PD or the F5E with no IFF and no SARH.
Britain it doesn’t get much better.

Would be nice if underdog side in terms of population queuing got a RP/SL bonus when queuing. Thats asking way too much though.
Would also be cool to get more RP/SL for queing in brackets you aren’t top BR.

I have had no problem taking on MiG-23ML and MLD with F4E since the flight model was changed. And the F4Es are also moving down a BR step.
Let me ask you this…
What BR brackets does red side have that are actually good in the past year? What BR brackets are they going to have now that will be good?
Top tier has been blue dominated for over a year.
The tier below that is ruled by Aim-9M slingers like
Gripen and F-15A.
The tier below that is ruled by F-16A and F-14 IRAF.
Then you have the oddball tier where all the PD Phantoms are…and they are all thoroughly mid because people returned to using multi-pathing.
And then you finally get to 11.7…which is dominated by Mirage F-1C.
11.3 is A-10C + Aim-9M slinging since patch dropped.
Like I am not saying that it’s a good thing that they are going down…but look at all the blue side stuff that is also going down as well.
