The argument is that that jet literally has everything better on it’s BR 12.0, meanwhile all others on that BR don’t have it and that makes it the only choice to win.
It has Aim-9Ms it has guided CAS, quite good IR pod, manuverability, when all others on that BR don’t have most of that.
It has the same and even better capabilities as the premium F-18C Earlys, but even they don’t have Aim-9Ms, but somehow it’s 12.3 and Grippen A is 12.0
Su-27, no guided CAS, has R73, no manuverability, no IR pod
F-15, almost no guided CAS, has 9M, no manuverability, no IR pod
F-16, can take guided CAS, doesn’t have 9Ms, has manuverability, still no IR pod,(the french one has 9Ms)
F-18A, almost no guided CAS, doesn’t have 9Ms, has manuverability, has a very limited IR pod
Not mentioning F-14B, but at least it has GNSS bombs
Specially it becomes problem in squadron battles, when it’s literally 4 JAS-39A=Victory.
