Best way to get score on Simulator? F14 Event

Doubt it. People that call for PvE are avoiding encountering enemies at all, and thus are playing literal assault PvE in a sim lobby because no-one actually watches them.

So report them, as enforcing those lobbies is against ToS.

Had a blast today making PvEers rage in Sim. But making it so that Sim players cant do the event in Sim is super unfair. If any changes need to happen. Then its just to reduce score gains from attacking an Airfield. Force players to go for other PvE targets instead if they want to grind the event. (AF should remain a legitamate target in Sim because its nice to have a fallback target and still gain RP/SL in aircraft without good endurance like the Tornado)

They got reported, the guy I found doing it had thier 2 bot accounts banned, but they only got temp banned.

Now looking through their current replays again, they’re up to the same nonsense again.

Then thats just Gaijin not enforcing rules well enough. But punishing everyone else is not the answer .

Not really, because many of the players in these rooms have let them sit doing this for the entire time…

After all, when I raised the concerns about it, I had people checking my stats, making out I couldn’t see them because I didn’t play sim… Which was really stupid because it’s as if they didn’t have any idea about how replays worked, or that someone who is outside of the gamemode, can surely point out how things can, and are, being exploited.

Nothing is missing. With the rocket nerf, something changed in the bomb scoring.
A year ago I was getting around 1200 points in Buccaneer for destroying AF modules.
Now I’m getting a little over 500 points.

I did feel I was getting more per sortie in the Buc when doing the Mirage 2k Event. but Im getting around 700 score per sortie in the Buc S2, So im guessing OP is missing with a few bombs to only be getting 300 with 3 less bombs.

Though Im not actually complaining all that much about the score changes. PvP actions should reward equal to PvE actions and I feel they do currently.

After the rockets nerf in air battles I switched to rank IV props. There is more points for bases with some bombs, I also trying dogfight, cap zones or destroy ground and air AI targets.
Sometimes I get 45k points playing in 2 days sessions (I have full time job) but some day I can do it in about 3-4 hours.

Rank may be the reason for the lower number of points. Also the number of bombs you carrying, TNT equivalent or weight.
I know we are talking about mission points not RP, but I think there are similar multipliers in the game for mission points that you get depending on the bombs you use.

Just like RP multipliers:

It is possible. I wish there was far more transparency for these types of things. Activity time included in this as well.

I’ll try to ask some dataminers if they could help.

If you are trying to get the most mission score, you need to rocket the airfields and not the bases. Depending on the plane and the amount of rockets you can get anywhere between 700 to 2100 mission score per run. With the 3x multiplier and rank 7 to 8 plane adding 1.2 a 700 run run gives you 2,940 per run in an F4. The f-111 can hold more but cant go super sonic so its slower but carries twice the rockets.

You can easily complete the star challenge in one match in sim. I’m already done with the coupon.

I don’t know honestly I’ve just been having fun in sim and racking up score any way I can. I only do the braindead airbase bombing if the match gets lazy, but even then I try to avoid being shot down to make it harder on myself (and more fun).

Yes and no.

If it didn’t count, it would force Sim players to switch to Realistic. Which is not what I want, at least.

Sometimes taking a smaller bomb load seems to award more points than taking a larger one. At least in the Torando IDS, I’ve noticed taking 12x1000lb bombs and killing 2 bases is basically the same score as taking 5x1000lb bombs and only killing one. The difference is negligible when you can RTB and get back in the air faster. Also lets me take the fuel tanks so I can be a bit more generous with the afterburner.

2x Base kills should reward twice as much as 1x base kill. So not sure as to what is going on there. Though by the fact you said 5x 1000lb I assume you are in the Gr1, so 2x 1000lb are wasted when you run the 12x bomb loadout and drop only onto 2 bases.

But I do agree with the belly only bomb load and the tanks. it is my usual go to (its also far more realistic for the tornado). Though Personally I usually just run 8x bombs. If I end up wasting some, so be it. But if a target of oppotunity appears like a ship or another base, then I have some “spare” bombs to drop on them, and if I end up lofting bombs onto the AF then maximum damage from that too (also means ripple mode can be used instead of bomb series, god I want ripple modes to be improved)

Yes, but it’s not that simple. If you have bomb load for 2 bases, then you get less scorefor each base and in the end you get reward for 2 bases with reduced score.
For example 1 base = 400 points, 2 bases = 800 point + multiplier 0,53 for example then you get 424 RP total.
But if u have bombs for only 1 base then 1 base = 700 points + multiplier 0,55 then you get 385 RP total (This are only example values).
It’s the same story with airfields.

anyway:

I think I won’t get any answer for that. I found on github someone asked the same question and was told he can’t get answer for that.

God damn gaijin make life complicated. Never noticed that before.

I spent some time researching how does bombs work, which loads give best score, with which load my plane is fastest. I even start to make an excel sheet but all has changed with the rocket/bombs nerf :)

Nah, I mainly use the IDS MFG and IDS WTD. Only need 5 bombs per base, the last sliver of health bleeds out.
