I was like 80% right lol

Basically this. I don’t belly land because I can’t land “properly.” I belly land because it is MUCH faster than a proper landing even once you factor in the repair timer.

No, you can’t!
You can touch the runway as smooth as possible, from now on it’s luck.
As I written before, landed on belly smoothly, slided several meters without any issue and at 60kph exploded instantly.

Sometimes proper landing isn’t possible because you lost gear in combat, so belly land is needed, and it’s a normal thing in war.
There are many original recordings in YT, and guess what, not one explodes.

I did it four times in a row with different aircraft, doubt it’s luck.

Yet none of those aircraft sit there for 45 seconds, get new gear and ammo refilled then are back in the fight.

Granted it may just be a bug or tolerances were lowered. Dirt runways especially have caused me problems trying to belly land (most likely considering Gaijin are really good at introducing bugs)

What aircraft are you finding that you cant belly land?

it does kill u tho, i was as slow as 60 mph when my wheel snapped and i still explode immediately (i was in f15c). I think the belly land is way too sensitive in this update, and they should do revert it a little.

It doesn’t “crash” immediatly, every time i land without gear my plane goes fine for a few seconds and then suddenly it bounces upwards and break apart, like it hit an invisible bump in the runway.
I’d say this is likely some physhics stuff acting in an weird way in the runway itself from their rework on airfields rather than something intensional “for balance”

This happened to me as well, but only if my speed on touchdown was above 250km/h.

It’s so funny seeing people explode in the runaway now, because you know exactly what they did. Landing without gear and taking 0 damage was going to get fixed eventually. Thankfully I didn’t partake much in this rather bad habit

Man I never knew people belly landed so often to the point of being unable to land wheels down.

I rarely belly land, usually save it for if Im too damaged to safely land wheels down.

Definitely some aircraft need better brakes, and the clips posted here definitely look more like a bug to me than something added intentionally.

But people claiming they dont know how to land with wheels down is a bit concerning.

it goes in water and can fly. Maybe it’s that?

Landing on wheels is easier than without I would assume, it just sucks and it’s so frustrating to coast down the runway endlessly.

But if we can’t belly land anymore we can just crash land instead, because the damage model is bad enough to allow for that.

A nice soft landing :D

Same here, only time I belly land is when I either

A) dont have landing gear due to damage (Quite common with carrier take-offs)

or

B) Forgetting to deploy them (happens more than I care to admit in sim)

Only aircraft that I fly that is a pain to land normally is the Hunter F1/F6 due to weak brakes and no drag chute. Also no airbrake with landing gear out. But its perfectly possible to land properly though, just need the right approach

I only belly land takes to much time to land normaly and plus I don’t have that kind of time in GRB

that crash landing definitely looks more risky than belly landing lol.

I guess because I play props a lot more often than jets, I don’t really have the issue with long stop times as often.

What we are talking about?

There are many reports of Afterburner jet flames glitchy in the fuselage.
I never had this.
So it isn’t a bug?
