Things like afk climbing all battle, runing to the edge of the map and as high as possible to bleed out the clock. Constantly running from players making absolutely no effort to complete any kind of objective just to troll enemy players and drag out the clock. Bombing is not passive game play.
Communication by a Community Manager - stating what exactly is “passive” (as they mentioned explicitly AFK) and an overview how many temp or perma bans they have activated due to “passive behaviour”.
The GM in this thread added his personal opinion, not an “official” and GMs are in charge for chat related stuff only. Everything else is either automated (like temp-bans for team killing) or done by others.
Why?
It simply makes no sense to talk about rules or ToS if there is not even the slightest indicator that gaijin is able or willing to clarify their position and is actively enforcing those rules.
In the US it is technically not a crime for you to operate a horse carriage while drunk because it doesn’t actually count as “driving,” but it is a crime to do it on public roads (IIRC don’t quote on this cause I’m not a lawyer)
This likely won’t happen as it would restrict their possibility to punish actively malicious behavior that is just below any such officially stated line. Players would find a way to maximize annoyance while still not crossing that theoretical line. This is also why so many laws and rules in general are written in a semi “gray-zone” way; to give the ones dealing out punishments some wiggle room to punish those who provably do malicious things intentionally (and continuously) while letting of the hook those who might have gone a bit further than that by accident once or twice.
It also discourages players from doing malicious things as if they don’t know where the “gray-zone” starts they will stay further away from it to not risk it. If there is a clear line they know how much they can sabotage the fun for others while avoiding punishment.
I often get asked things in the nature of "can i do [xyz], can i say [xyz], can i … " after someone has already been punished and is asking about their current punishment. My answer is almost always: “If you feel like you have to ask because you’re uncertain if it breaks the rules; then it’s likely best to avoid doing it to begin with”. There are of course nuances but that is generally my answer as most of those asking those questions are (as stated above) trying to find where the line is and how “bad” they can be to others.
its not their fault so i will never blame them for it. the typical bomber will damage or kill the bomber hunters which still contributes to the team far more than fighters base bombing and then running away for entire matches or the other things which forum mods arent allowing us to mention here because of who OP is.
Depending on the bomber they can be used as interceptors too. I used the Canberra mk6 (the one with 4 hispano 20mm guns) to bomber hunt after taking a base so you can still play a vital role as a bomber.
im pretty certain bombing bases used to bleed tickets, think I remember it a couple years ago but it doesn’t do a thing now. May have been one of the things changed as base bombing rewards have been whittled down to nothingness.
