theres nothing realistic about this game other than the modelling of the tanks and planes.
there is no realism behind the lack of physics when it comes to wt explosions, passing through buildings and obstacles like huge boulders, killing tanks but leaving infrastructure intact.
there is no realism. like there is no authenticity
Feel free to submit bug reports, as obviously if that happens it isn’t intentional.
If you’re referring to buildings not collapsing/etc, that’s just… how video games are built; those 3D meshes are not currently set up to be moved or interacted with. You can always submit a suggestion for more destructible environments and structures (something we’ve seen more of as the game goes on).
The disqusting think is they first wave going out next incoming and 80% of the time is from back of your respawn so if you are trying to play aim shot moving to other position bomb drop on you if they are 1000lb or 2000lb you can’t avoid them this same happening if you try to play SPAA shouting first wave second coming behind you bombs drop you death not to mention the low ammo SPAA carry even in higher BRs and Helicopters this same BS coming from behind shouting missiles and hovering at 3km it’s just idiotic if you get fighter to counter you respawn 1.6km behind bomber his drop ordinance then you catch it total BS well Arcade Fix from Gaijin now take out croshair from fighters and we will need to wait another 10 years for chance.
I think the issues are that planes are OP in ground arcade battles, they appear too quickly, and you can respawn faster if you intentionally crash into the ground. So, as a tentative proposal, I would like to make the airplane appear at least after 3 minutes past from the game start, and if the airplane is shot down or crashes into the ground, there will be a 10 second (or more longer) penalty until next respawn.
Instdead it could be so you can choose if you want to play a “pure tank” battle, maybe in the same way you can enable and disable to be able to play night on realistic ground battles, so you can play the classic arcade battles or you can play the “pure tank” battles.
The problem is, the flybois know full well that as soon as there’s a tank only mode, a significant percentage of players would head to that and they’d be left with a) longer queue times, and b) much less slow moving ground based targets to pad their stats with.
And Gaijin have always sided with the CAS players. Why do you think the CAS problem keeps getting worse the more people ask for a ground only mode?
The big question I’D like answered is, why can a player climb into a plane knowing there are ZERO consequences to how he plays it? For example, if players knew they’d lose a life and incur some kind of repair cost (the same way tank players do), they wouldn’t be ANYWHERE near as reckless in planes and consequently they’d be much less of a threat as pilots would realise there was a cost if they get killed. In fact, some players wouldn’t even USE planes.
Currently you can simply Kamikaze dive bomb anything you like to ensure your bombs or rockets are accurate knowing you have nothing to lose. Why?
To be honest, it’s not that that drives this ‘want’… It’s the continued mentioning and dwelling on the fact that CAS even exists that people stop trying to defend themselves, call for the removal, quit early and decide that they’re so upset that they have to post about it, and that anyone who objects to it is a ‘flyboi’, or any insult imaginable, just because they object to it.
The fact that when you tell people to use the features they have to defend themselves and there’s a subsection who proclaim that it’s pointless, and unable to be done, makes a new player think that is how it goes, and ignores all advice telling them to put their hands up, rather than have them down at thier sides when they’re being punched.
The question is, given how often this issue has been brought up, and how many people have commented they’d love to see a mode like this, it’s clear there is quite a bit support for it. What exactly would it hurt to at least give it a try? As has been mentioned many times, people who like to play aircraft not only have the option to play Ground Battles where they can play against humans in tanks, they also have Air Only. Why can’t tank players have the same choice? After all, it may well bring a whole new bunch of players to the game and that could only be a good thing, no?
But how often is it by the same exact people spamming these threads in efforts to force it to be an issue so they can get the game changed to suit them…
There isn’t that much support for it as the agrieved are the ones that find their way here to vote, those who actually dgaf are literally not voting.
This is the same with the youtubers who make titles which encourage that certain subset of players.
Think about that… If there was that many of you, you’d have more than 1000 voters.
Can’t say I’ve seen a poll as I’m pretty new to the thread. All I know is that everytime I see a thread on this the same argument gets trotted out, that this has been discussed hundreds of times before and the situation is that Gaijin has said “No… End of Discussion”, which seems a pretty short-sighted view because as I mentioned, the introduction of a tank only mode may well bring new players to the game which would be good for the game AND for Gaijin financially. I haven’t taken the time to see if EVERY thread has involved the same people over and over.
As for the situation with CAS users doing so without risk of any penalty by way of lives lost or repair costs incurred somehow, I’d be interested to know what you think, because this aspect is something that’s patently unfair to tank users. After all, tanks don’t get to drive up to another tank point blank and if they die in the process, suffer no penalty. CAS users do.
Look about more then, because if you’ve seen those threads, then there’s no doubt that the polls would’ve shown up in the related threads at the bottom, or that someone would’ve mentioned them.
I play the game as it is, I don’t complain about how I die on the regular like some of those on the forums here. I play for fun, I don’t care about my stats, and my entire mindset is to give a player a hand because they need to be kept positive because the negative nancies that blame the game, devs and everything else other than them, for any ‘failure’ are just straight up infectious.
There’s nothing ‘unfair’ in this game, and everyone says things are broken, but they can’t actually make effort because they think it is, no matter what is mentioned.
Exactly.
And also, when they finally would get into a match, it would just transform into AIR mode in like 2-3 minutes. Every player, who has enough SP would hop into a plane, and kill all the remaining few ground vehicles. Those, who can’t get into a plane would just leave the match, and nobody would spawn in a tank a second time.
Gaijin knows this, and this is the main reason they won’t do anything.
Because teaching players how to play is hard, and time consuming. Not just that, but not every player wants to invest that effort. And if they are bad, they would just leave the game.
But, what if, Gaijin gives them something with which they are untouchable, and can destroy half the enemy team without any skill, knowledge, or effort? That would keep them playing, and even buy the premiums!
This is the exact same strategy used in other games too.
World of Tanks? Arty.
Armored Warfare? Arty.
Word of Warships? Aircraft carriers.
Battlefield games? Grenade spam, planes, mortars.
For years, in all of these games, players are rightfully complaining against these mechanics.
What is the response from the advocates of such mechanics? “Nu-uh bruv”. Or flase flagging here.
I am all for giving players these tools. Let them have it! But then also give an option to those players, that wants to use skill and game knowledge an option to say “i don’t want to deal with those”.
There are games, with mechanics hated by a large part of the community.
For example, griefing in games like Minecraft or Space Enginners. One part of the players hate it, and the other loves it.
What is the solution? Dedicated griefing and non griefing servers. You don’t like your base getting raided? No issue, play on non griefing servers. And a big issue is solved!
Of course with the CAS issue, it is different. CAS is so abusive and invading, that as i said, a CAS option would be unplayable next to a tank only option.
In that case, major changes would be needed in the CAS mode, and we all know Gaijin’s attitude when they have to put effort into something…
I see some options where a CAS mode would be viable, but still not balanced.
If Gaijin would make CAS balanced, and as much skill based as tanks, with the same chance of me fighting against a plane with my tank, as the plane has against my tank, i would have zero issues with it. But the problem is, it is impossible to get such a balance.
It is factually unfair.
How do you defend yourself in a Tiger I against a PE-8 dropping a bomb from 3-4km away?
How do you defend yourself in a Sturer Emil against a plane with 50+ HVARS?
How do you defend yourself in any higher tier tank against a self guided ammo launched from outside any SPAA effective range by a helicopter that just popped up behind a hill, launched and went down behind said hill in 2 seconds?
From every poll it is 70%+.
Gaijin’s wallet.
“BeCaUsE bAtTlEs In ReAl LiFe HaD pLaNeS bRuV.” (even tho it is not a realistic, nor a historically accurate, nor a simulator game)
More CAS enyoers would leave than tankers comming back.
There are youtube polls with 10s of thousads of votes returning 70%+ in favour of TO, with yourubers that make content on both tanks AND planes (so they have audience in both camp).
How do you defend yourself in a Tiger I against a PE-8 dropping a bomb from 3-4km away?
Doesnt happen in arcade.
How do you defend yourself in a Sturer Emil against a plane with 50+ HVARS?
Depends, but generally be very aware of the skies and keep cover between them and you.
How do you defend yourself in any higher tier tank against a self guided ammo launched from outside any SPAA effective range by a helicopter that just popped up behind a hill, launched and went down behind said hill in 2 seconds?
Generally helis are quite easy to avoid, in arcade planes are simply better.
