They do not have a delay fuse when dropped from 1000+ meters up. They explode on impact. You used to hear the bombs whistling when they were dropped from high altitude so you could still move, but that isn’t the case anymore.
The only warning you have that a bomb is coming from that altitude is your tank exploding.
Also, in regards to bomber durability. Literally just did a match where I got a bomber twice and I was dead in the first 5 seconds before I could even react.
1st bomber the tail was instantly shot off
2nd bomber my entire plane just exploded
Gotta work on those mods, upgrade crew vitatlity, and fly like your cat is messing with your mouse hand.
Recognize when they hit 1km out, and start shuffling. In doing this though, remember your turret gunners need to be ‘awake’ so don’t bounce them around too much.

My crew skills are maxed out on everything (air, naval, ground). I don’t think air crew skills apply to arcade planes. Also, with some of the heavier bombers you can’t pull evasive maneuvers.
Of cause they have a delay fuse, it just takes them 10+ seconds before they hit the ground.
That is why I wrote NOT to be a sitting target, but to move when there are bombers in the air.
It happens everytime for me since they updated sounds a few years ago. Before I could hear every bomb that was dropped from higher altitude but now it’s either not loud enough(cause I don’t hear them) or simply the other battle sounds completely overlap it.
I play with a soundbar, not a headset, and I could clearly hear the bomb whistle before they changed it, now you have to keep looking up instead of focusing on the tank battle.
The whole CAS mechanic is a complete mess compared to what it used to be, it’s as if they made all the wrong choices, even the removal of markers they did recently could have been made so much better by just removing tank type from the markers, you don’t even see your own marker getting bombed.
well if the enemy gets PBY with a 2000lb bomb or Dornier with dropping them without diving you are screwed anyway + if you fight not many ppl can avoid them if the first wave comes and before they are in the middle of the map second wave starts behind you, Gaijin take out recycle from the fighters yes but seems most respawn are from behind of your respawn point so even if AAA player trying to take down plane another wave coming behind him leading to idiotic and pathetic gameplay 90% of the games seems to be CAS training without ending.
Enemy planes should respawn in front of you so give an opportunity to AAA to shout them down so as not to die immediately this will be more fair for their teams this same with respawn fighters sometimes you can’t even catch the bomber magically they respawn from 0.7 to 1.5km away from the fighters.
Taking out the planes from the Game in Arcade will be bad but they can do some chances with the respawn like i wrote before but seems to me we will need to wait another 10 years for it road map for 2024 go up not long ago but nothing was said about AB ground seems to me they taking care the RB mostly and don’t really give a dime for the arcade GB and this is obvious with the BR’s they implement.
Then it’s a bug, and it’s not actually related to the issue you have with planes.
Well, it COULD be a bug. The speed of the bomb falling and the overall shape or profile of it would affect it. So depending on the height and method it’s dropped, that could affect it.
And then from there if it’s not acting correctly on that, then you’d likely find avenue to supply the information into a bug report.
But again, it’s not the actual reason for you being prone to air.
