Spading rewards exist as well as post-battle multipliers for victory/defeat.
Congrats on proving I used no premiums.
spading already disproved in my post. post battle rewards are still not enough to cover that RP that is missing.
@The4thAmigo While I think the grind is absurd and arcade, realistic and sim have different rewards, for grind focus ( i mean not enjoying the game xd ) you need “meta” tips.
-Since you have a premium (F5C ) basically you have no rank taxes, so you use it for the rest of the grind or until you get a better grinder and talisman it in 50% offer.
- If you are good at dogfight, then realistic is the best mode. With 4 kills you get the 100% bonus + boosters
- For base bombing the best would be sim battles
- I won’t recomend bombers on realistic
PD : Grind (usually) comes in exchange for fun
I see so many answers here in the format of:
“You have premium F-5 so you should have completed the tree much more quickly and stop playing arcade”.
This is so annoying. First, arcade is the de facto game mode for basically anything below jets. Once you get to jets, it’s RB, but you’ll be hard pressed to find low tier RB or high tier AB enjoyable.
Second, skipping entire ranks to get to jets is not the desirable outcome you all make it to be. People actually need to learn some things from these ranks like dumb bombing, target leading, energy retention, dogfighting basics etc.
Nah, arcade has a whole different feel to it. I strictly play RB regardless of battle rating because it has a much more rewarding feel to it. Arcade is just sped up chaos to me.
Dumb bombing is taken care of by ballistic computers, energy fighting is jets is vastly different than props, target leading is vastly different in the much faster planes and some planes have radar guided lead indicators. Not saying that experience in props is not useful, but top tier jets and props are just so different. Jets are much easier to be successful in with little experience because of the missiles and ballistic computers that do the work for you.
OP, you only did 18 games in the F-5C in RB and you didn’t even do that bad imo, considering you appear to have no other jet fighter experience in RB and only a little bit in AB. I was able to grind from Rank II to halfway way through Rank VII fighters with the F-5C (and some other tech tree jets but the majority of the RP comes from F-5C) in just a few months with relatively average performance. I think if you stuck with trying for Air to Air kills in the F-5C you woulda gotten better at jet combat while also making decent money and RP. If you actually want to use the top tier jets, you’re gonna have to learn how to fight with them at some point.
“Nah bro i will just zomb my way through tec tree, zomb my way through all modifications on a plane and figure out combat once im on top tier fully spaded. How difficult it can be?”
you know that if you have a premium you can never go negative from a battle ?
just turn on auto-repairs
also as others have already pointed out playing air-arcade is the biggest waste.
not to mention almost noone plays top tier arcade.
Yes I have the F-5C that I got during one of the anniversary sales. I got rinsed with it in Air RB and that was even after I had been playing in jets for a bit and watched a crap ton of videos. That tier is nothing but missile spam. I can’t avoid them all and the AIM-9Es are complete and total garbage. I stopped using it until recently but even so I"m only about 30/70 in Arcade with it. Cue “A man has got to know his limitations.”
I didn’t skip any ranks and have quite a few planes in each one. Arcade is the primary mode for me because that is what I started with and that was the only mode at the time. Name one other game that takes 245 days to get through a level in its primary game mode.
Here are games I played today. In the first one my net earnings were only 478SL because I bought a mod for $16k SL. In the second game my net earnings were -3,750 SL due to a mod and repair costs. Also if you look at the measly RP earnings in the 2nd game I would need 39 more days to earn the F-105 which currently stands at 117k RP left to earn. So unless your score is in the top 3 in Air RB the grind is still going to take a while.
IMO, Arcade is only efficient for quickly unlocking ranks I, II, and (maybe) III. RB and SimEC are tons more efficient for the later ranks.
Not really. Here’s my expectations regarding Air RB I played today with the F-5C. As you can see it is going to take a while unless I magically learn to be top 3 in the next week or so.
Somehow I feel like almost a full year to finish most one tree is just… way too long. Yes the grind has gotten better over time but its still so long
arcade is not a primary game mode it is one of the game modes.
and again if you want to progress dont play arcade.
learn how to play the game. you will fail in the begining, but that is in every single game.
maybe if you play 1 battle a day.
it is possible to grind a toptier plane in a single day so dont go about saying it is not possible.
He plays one battle and then waits for the free repair before playing it again. He is causing his own issues here. Myself and others have tried to explain to him that he could progress much faster, but he doesn’t want to pay repairs, so it is 100 percent on him that it will take so long.
That is such terrible approach, especially post economy changes lmao
If I sat for 8 hours and ignored my family and job I could probably earn a top tier plane in a day. However for me it depends on earnings. If I lose money I don’t play again. I played 3 games in one day and came out ahead slightly. You have to take 1/3 of the earnings out for repair costs. So even if I played 3 games a day it would take 108 days. Of the same plane. Over and over again.
You mean the marginal 12% decrease in overall SL requirements and then the earnings nerf with the “severe damage” mechanic?
Sometimes I don’t make enough to cover repairs, and paying repairs increases the grind since you have to play even longer to earn the tens of millions of SL required to reach top tier. Remember, this game is as much a financial management simulator as it is a flight simulator. Auto repair was making it so I earned zero. Does earning zero increase or decrease the grind?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Dunno about you chief, I observed nothing BUT increases in my overall SL gain.
Good for you. How many hours do you play per day?
I know that I only get 40% rewards with the new Severe damage mechanic instead of 100%. I used to get say, 1,500 SL for a kill and now I get like, 300. So yes, earnings have decreased. Maybe you are one of those people that can one shot a plane and instantly destroy it instead of giving it a crit, watch it fall out of the sky while burning, and then watch as your entire team swarms to it like moths to a flame and get the kill.
