Approximately 245 days to finish US Air Rank VI

Not as much as i used to due to new work.

How can you get only 40% reward when the rewards are split 80:20?

please stop promoting bombing bases in air rb which doesn’t affect the outcome of the match in any way, all you are is a free kill and a detriment to the entire team because you do nothing

Listen, you play how you want. If you don’t have premium and don’t play anymore if you lose money then you are only hurting your own progression. You have the F-5C, which can bomb a full base and will hardly ever lose money, even on an unproductive game. The progression is on your own playstyle. Myself and others have merely tried to point out inefficiencies with how you approach the game. Just be aware that your progression is at a snail’s pace because of your own actions, not Gaijin’s actions.

Please stop trying to dictate other player’s playstyles because you don’t like it. I don’t play Warthunder for Kissedboy I play it for myself. I enjoy base bombing over air to air and ground pounding. If you don’t like that, then you can go pound sand.

Base bombing affects ticket bleed, so you’re wrong about not affecting the outcome of the match in any way. I am not a “free kill” because I return to the airfield away from the combat space in order to rearm and reevaluate if another flyout is worth the time depending on team losses. I have very often landed and left the game because it was not advantageous to take off again.

you do realise that you said yourself you have a premium account.
that means you cant lose money on repairs.

and since the eco changes with not needing to pay for a full repair everytime it is much better.
it is only your skill issue that is the factor here.
dont blame the game for your faults.

Yes, but you still don’t earn anything in a match since your return is zero. How quickly can you advance if you only ever earn zero? With the tens of millions of SL required for top tier you must earn a positive income every game.

I understand I am a below average player. The game does not cater to me but to those players who make it to the top 3 every match or content creators with their bonuses and code upgrades. I need to eke out the maximum amount of RP and SL per game due to the limited amount of time I have to play per day. Sometimes it works in my favor, sometimes it doesn’t. I am years behind 90% of the player base as far as skill and I have plateau’d after playing daily for not quite two years. This is as good as it will get for someone over 50.

Dude, you’ve been doing that to me the entire thread. Pot, meet Kettle.

Update: it took 10 days to get the F-105 using a combination of the B-57 and F-5C. I lost more money than I gained while spading the B-57 but whatever. There are 8 more planes at Rank VII. So 8x10=80 days for the tree, assuming I can play 3 games a day in Air RB and maintain positive income. This does not include spading the Rank VI aircraft. I still think that is ridiculous and there is no other game that I am aware of that takes this long to advance.

I won’t be playing US air again until the sale when I can buy the Rank VI aircraft at 50% off. Then I’ll start on Rank VII.

It is offtopic but, wondering how the game specially AAB/ARB would be better if top tier stuck at there.

Ok, trying to help you by explaining the different actions that keep you from progressing is now “dictating how you play”. Ok, take 4 years to make it to the F-16s, see if I care.

The most annoying thing is you’re taking my advice, and you have the nerve to be like that. I was the one who told you to use the B-57 to get the F-105D. You should stop taking my advice and not use the F-105D, I wouldn’t want to “dictate how you play”.

I should have said 40% less. If I shoot a plane and get Severe Damage and someone else steals it I only get an assist. That only gives me 60% of the total. Its even less if I only manage to crit a plane, then I only get 40% of any reward if the plane gets stolen later.

That isn’t how that works… If you get a severe damage then you get 80% of the rewards for the kill. You don’t get an assist because it is technically a kill anyway.

I felt I had to give it a chance to see your side. I honestly didn’t think it would work with my skill level, however I still lost money and that playstyle got boring. I prefer Arcade but you were adamant I only play Realistic. I should be able to advance reasonably at any game mode which was the point of the thread. The advancement is not reasonable for the average player.

Grind still takes way to long. Especially Ground Vehicles.
I need like over a million RP just to get like 3 Vehicles at Top Tier and if i had a Nuke in every single Match which doesn’t even give 10k RP in Realistic with Premium at Top Tier it would still take me over a hundred Matches all with nuke and Premium.

This is an extreme case - shouldn’t take you that long. But I do ask - why does it matter? War Thunder is a game that is here to stay. For example: I unlocked the MiG-9 in 2012, it’s still in my hanger, it’s still usable, it’s still in the current game. Everything I unlocked in something like NBA 2k11/12/13 is long gone, and the games are long dead - replaced by a game every year with minimal changes and more micro-transactions. So again, so what? Enjoy that journey. The grind is the addictive element of this game. It’s why we’re playing this, instead of something like Battlefield or CoD. The only requirement for this game, and a requirement that supports the developers, is a premium account. Grab a yearly annual during the sales. Premium vehicles are optional. And yeah, I get it, some people only want to play this or that vehicle, well that’s life, can’t always have what you want, when you want it. Learn to appreciate the journey.

Severe dmg is 80% of the reward.

You can still get 100% if you just continue to engage?

Yea, of course it’ll work for your skill level, it is the same exact thing that you do with the Ju-288C, which is why I suggested it.

Yes, making large gains in progression requires a change of playstyle and it isn’t always the most exciting or profitable.

Go back to arcade then, you wanted to know how to progress faster and you progress faster in realistic. Air RB has different rules than the rest of the game and you can leverage that for progression.

You sir are not an average player just like I am not an average player. I can say with confidence that very few players play one game and then wait 4 days for a repair on vehicles they want to prgress quickly with. Especially after the economy updates, and even more so if they have premium account status. You are the opposite extreme from the “grindy” players.

Not that I’ve seen. My rewards are way down due to kill stealing. Even though the plane is no longer combat capable and is effectively a kill I don’t get the same amount of reward I used to, especially for crits. It was a mathematical way for Gaijin to increase the grind by nerfing rewards.

I meant piloting skill. I only wait for repair if I go negative because it makes economic sense to do so.

Because at some point I will be unable to physically play this game and my gaming hardware will be too expensive to replace.
