Anyone else find it absolutely infuriating that the F-4E can't participate in the 'vietnam era' Nuclear Escalation?

They where only there providing cover for the USAs evacuation of Saigon, they entered service a year after the Case-Church amendment prohibited USA military operations is South east Asia so never had any active participation in the war.

Troops went back home and operational formations disbanded before this happened, a couple of planes supporting ARVN troops is not really the same as the whole thing

close enough. if you want to go that way then no more MiG-23, or half the soviet jet roster

Bombing support ended in August 1973 under the Case-Church amendment, F-14As became operational in September 1974 a full year later.
The where only in Vietnam in 1975 to cover the USAs evacuation of Saigon incase the Vietnamese tried to shoot down the evacuation aircraft.
And it’s also worth pointing out this is BR 9.0 to 11.0 themed around Vietnam, not a Vietnam historical battle, while there is a legitimate argument for expanding to 11.3 to allow the F-4E for both balance and historical reasons, the “Well F-14As sort of showed up late to the party when the bouncers where throwing everybody out so it should be allowed despite being 1.7BRs higher then anything else” is a rather pointless argument.

Mig- 23s are not nearly 2 full BRs above the BR range of the event, but limiting the event to only aircraft that fought in Vietnam would gut both rosters, I’m fairly sure Jaguars, F1s, A-10, Harriers etc also didn’t serve in Vietnam. but again its 9.0 to 11.0, not historical match maker.
