Annoying runners/airfield campers expulsion idea

fighting this people is annoying: they run everytime and killing them is extremely hard if u don’t have good missiles (SARH/IRCCM/ARH missiles).

Gaijin should implement a mechanic where a player that’s running from another player for a loooong period of time gets instantly expulsed of the match, counting as a kill for the player that has been chasing it.

same idea for the airfield campers, those who like to camp in their spawn cuz airfield SPAAs are absolutely broken (and Gaijin will NEVER fix them, don’t make me talk about lowtier and their ugly hitscan AAAs) should also get expulsed after a long period of time.

i’m not a programmer nerd or smth, so idk if this is actually possible to do, but i would like to even have a chance of killing somebody who’s doing this disgusting acts in a match, first off cuz it’s unenjoyable and second cuz it extends the time of the match unnecesarily.

What da hell? ofc not, why should u be forced to fly head on into a missile, whats wrong with running away? surely ppl are allowed to have self preservation instincts

There are ground targets that let you drain tickets and get some sl/rp.

Just… hit ground targets.
I don’t like either side of airfield camping, but there’s no real reason to complain about someone going to rearm unless you really hate slightly longer matches.

And you get rewards by the match going on longer…

This idea is dumb.

Although i hate the split S to airfield as much as anyone running away to reposition is valid and the basis of some aircraft’s solution to turn fighters - he 162, p-47, fw 190 and even more competetive energy fighters benefit from changing 1 vs many into 1 vs 1 by peeling enemies away from furballs.

A match is 25min, fix. Nobody can extend it. That’s the deal you accepted by pressing “to battle”.

I can already see being kicked out of the match because game thought me RTBing to get more missiles is running away from enemy that has no clue im there, ground pounding AI units.

There are many more scenarios running away could be a proper tactic. And I can’t imaging any mechanic could be able to judge them.

Patience is one of the most important skill you need in this game.

If the enemy has something to fight against u, it’s annoying to chase him to the edge of the map just to teleport with that dumb edge limit mechanic and keep running away till him or u are of fuel.

Running 3/5km to turn around and head-on ur enemy is ok, running for 20km without turning to dodge a missile and just use 110% thrust isn’t.

Extend it longer than what it usually last. Imagine playing for 20 instead of 5/10 cuz a random prefers to turn around it’s airfield and let the super broken SPAAs do his job.

I explained it poorly, there should be mesures to determine when a player is running away of the enemy, see it’s stats (low fuel, no ammo/missiles = valid reason to run away) so it can return to base or should be expulsed.

And this kind of scenarios Gaijin should be able of determining if they’re really running or just keeping distance to keep fighting (F-104 outrunning u for 3/5km to turn around and head-on u or smth instead of just flying to the edge of the map even if u’re at 15km and can’t even see it’s marker).

One thing is an enemy running from u to keep fighting somehow and other thing is someone that turns into a MiG-25PD cuz doesn’t trust it’s fighting skills or idk what.

The only thing we need in that regard is the airfield AA just not defending a player anymore when he circles around a certain area for too long, which is currently on of the bigger issues in air, especially if the enemy got a massive lead in tickets due to ground pounding planes that the other team doesnt have. It should not be a viable strat to just sit in your airfield AA for >2 mins after landing and rearming

i can’t imagine lowtier players with their hitscan AAA.
the last time i have played lowtier with my chinese P-51 it was a hell to kill somebody who was camping in the airfield.

Thought this was a tiger tank post at first lmao. This is a bad take. If you’re chasing the guy running away you’re part of the problem. You can easily stay in the middle of the map and kill ground/air AI to bleed tickets. Let’s keep the expulsion to team killing only…

it extends the match unnecesarily and makes it less enjoyable. why would i need to wait for the enemy tickets to reach 0 if i can try to kill the dumb lvl -1000 player that prefers to run instead of fighting?
if u’re trying to grind, ur best option is to make things quick, not extend matches that usually last 5/8mins to 15mins.

and the worst part is that when u turn, they do the same thing and start chasing u like a random Tom & Jerry’s episode (bad reference tho).

it’s extremely unenjoyable to do this, would be easier to just accept ur fate and play better in the next match instead of doing the match even worse for the enemy team and u included.

have been playing Mirage IIIC rn, a T-2 can outrun me at sea lvl which is a 9.7 aircraft, and u have ItO 90M at 9.7 with 12km missiles. expulsion should at least be also possible with people who camp their airfield to let OP SPAAs do the job.

bro, i have seen Roland 1s against 8.3 aircrafts, how is that even fair for both teams? they have plenty of them in the airfield and dodging all missiles at 5m while also turning to fool the SPAAGs (ZSU-23-4M4) is not ez.

i don’t have any problem with grinding, just saying that if a player wants to grind, it should just end the match right there and play another one where it perform better.

any match where this happens gets extended a lot, especially in the Operation battles where maps are extremely longer than usual and destroying AI units is not reliable at all cuz they can counterattack, and trust me when i say that they’re VERY smart, not the first time i see one of my teammates dying by an AI controlled MiG-21 that looks innofensive.

My solution is to disable any AA unless a plane is currently landed on the airfield, and for 2 minutes after it takes off again, with a 5 minute cooldown between identical players enabling the AA.

This won’t ever work.

Especially for you I pray to the snail, GJN realizes limiting ARB matches to 25min was the worst change they ever made.

Eehh,wtf? why would the system have to literally stalk us just bcz we’re going to land for X reasons?,
low fuel ? maybe he’s leaking and is trying to land and restart!
full WEP for a prolongated period? why not? if you want to escape from the furball you have to do it fast.
and as said from others, having a mechanic or AI that judges these things is just to complicated and useless, it would literally have to read someone’s mind. There are ground targets u still can drain some tickets and get those 50 rp, ( and sometimes it is just the right ammount to unlock a vehicle). And where is written u should be running behind them?, just disengage, go for someone else, if they return, now ur the one running, so try to survive and they will go insane!
