An in depth proposal to decompress 12.7-14.3 to 12.7-16.0

Wow. People still believe “queue times” is a valid reason to keep the game extremely compressed when we get 1 second queues routinely.

Add to that the total belief in X nation bias and you get 90% of the playerbase

Yep, waiting one or two BR changes a year for air is painful

su-30sm2 shouldn’t be 16.0 imo, all it has are extra cms, and just has upgraded n011m and still using old engine al31fp. All it gets are r-37ms if gaijin even adds those. su-35 is likely its actual counterpart youre thinking of, with spherical maws and lws, with a much better radar and avionics suite in general

also I would argue su27sm is better than the j11b, imo best 13.7 in the game. it has better flight performance than the j11b and more, better missiles than the j11b. r77 is better than pl-12 and r73 is sidegrade to pl8b, some situations either can be better but overall I’d rather have the r73. only definitive upgrade j11b has are its radar, maws and weight. the engines on the su27sm makes it better than the 11b for sure.

How much peak thrust is there, and is the thrust curve better too? I don’t have the Su-27SM, but the J-11B has very good engines.

6 PL-12s is better than 8 R-77s because PL-12s can both be good WVR and BVR.

I thought it had upgraded engines, my bad.

Across most altitudes and speeds su-27sm has advantage until high speed at super high altitude / medium speeds at low altitude, then it goes to j-11b

its planned to have them eventually, however current su-30sm2s still use al31fp.

IMO having better WVR performance is better. you’re hardly getting any kills that’s not within visual range/hmd range, and r77 is better for those specific use cases. and 2 extra arh missiles is really helpful for staying in the fight

+1 some one else gets it

drag for r77’s are accurate. amraams have to much maneuvering drag aswell

Br changes is Gaijin’s kryptonite. It will take at least another 4 years to reach 16.0.

based on what?

That’s absolutely the opposite of what is true. Everyone believes queue times will never be an issue, think it as a distant and non-comprehensible concept, and ignore it. Everyone wants to have the benefits of decompression without the drawbacks, like a child only wanting to eat candy. Only a few rational people recognize that it is an issue, unfortunately.

It’s not uncommon for 3-5 minute queue times to occur, especially in less populated servers, less popular BRs, and at less busy times of day. However, you and most others don’t realize this, because inevitably the majority will trend towards popular servers, etc.

You and I both do not have the data on queue times. Gaijin does. What is done for the good of the game is often unrecognized or disagreed with by the players. Of course, Gaijin has been wrong on countless issues, and I don’t speak to defend them generally. For example, their balancing is so terrible that it would be easier to get a better balance outcome by optimization without decompression than decompression without optimization, as we have seen in the recent Ground decompression. Leclerc 12.7 and Abrams 12.0 for reference, or VT-4 at 12.3.

It’s only a few issues on which Gaijin are more reasonable than the players, but this is one of them. It’s obvious that accurate balancing, not decompression, is the way forward.

The only br range I’ve experienced long queue times > 2 min is like the 6.0ish br range. Everything else are almost insta qs every time

Get real. This is not a real issue.

My average queue time in 2025 is quite literally 5-10 seconds. In fact War Thunder finds me a game quicker than CALL OF DUTY often does with 20x the playerbase.

Re-bumping this thread yet again.
it is now 12.3s’ turn to suffer mega hard due to a certain “not top tier premium”.
Man… Imagine stock grinding or just playing tech tree vehicles in the year of our lord 2025.

The following are general critiques, things not mentioned are not necessarily agreement, but a high likelihood of no complaint.

Rafale should remain the same BR as Typhoon. While it’s the best “deck rat”, however, Typhoon has better flight performance and staying power overall.

Mirage 2000 F5 is more akin to J-10A.
Worse flight performance for a different variety of missiles.
Same exact amount of missiles.

JF-17 is worse than the F-16s. Similar amount of countermeasures, worse loadout options, worse flight performance.
J-16D while it has more countermeasures, is worse engine’d than the F-16C/I. In-fact the F-16AM, and OCU should be the same BR as the ADFs as well.

Gripen Cs are at best slightly better F-16 ADFs. 4x AMRAAMs, 2x IR missiles, while not as limiting as the JF-17 loadout, I feel its dogfight performance doesn’t play a role in most matches.

F-18A/F-14B should be the same BR.

Mig-29 is not the best 12.7 as that goes to F-18s, then F-16AJ is still better than Mig-29.

I think most 13.0s can stay 13.0.
However, there are 11 that need to move up to 13.3.

I feel you get to 15.3, however if the F-18s and F-14B still have too much at 13.0, that’ll show up after the first batch of decompression.

F18C early is too good for 12.7 anyway just look at other 12.7s its a lot better it should be given 9M maybe but the AIM-7P since the the other super strong 13.0s get moved up its should be fine at the BR

the gospel im telling you its got a better radar same missiles and and on par flight model
