M163 is primarily used by players new to radar SPAA.
or anybody playing that br bracket as usa?
Nope. Any player with a reasonable amount of skill will do very well with an M163.

Then add the DIVAD version with over 1000 rounds if I remember correctly.
cool cool, but definitely higher than 7.7
Well, yes, kinda
with the SPAA which has basically 1.2km effective radius AND is able to meet heicopter with ATGM? Hell nah.
M163 may see a basic helicopter in an uptier. But mostly, it’s now dunking on Me262s and Hortons (and props, of course)
Its not like you have many options to take with M60 or T95E2 anyway. So its the M163 call anyway. F-84s, MiG-15s, Alouettes are her enemy
Yes, but you’re judging the M163 for how it performs outside of its BR. The topic is about 6.7-7.0 SPAA, either way. You may think the 163 is trash in 8.0 and beyond. But for anyone being uptiered to 7.3, or at 7.3, it can be scary in the right hands. I wouldn’t play USA 8.0 to begin with, when you have all those goodies at 8.3-8.7.
Would need to be 8.0 minimum, preferably 8.3
Ah but even at 8.3 you lack SPAA, the XM is 8.7. I may agree that its a little unfair to compare it with 8.0s, as its 7.3 and should just be there. And for 7.3 it looks okay, not much there can do better than M163
It’s similar to the M163 but bigger and only has HE rounds. So don’t worry, it can only kill light tanks.
It literally sees prop planes. Helicopters aren’t really an issue cause 1. planes hard counter em and 2. it’s really easy to use cover against a slow moving chopper.
I don’t have many games on the Hovet yet, however I currently have 5 air kills with no deaths to aircraft.

Sadly, there’s 2 deaths unaccounted for, however, even if they were both to a plane (neither were) that’s still a 2.5 K/D for a player as bad as me.
idk. At 7.3 it seems usefull at least, but then you lack SPAA again…
Those two vechiles look very fun to use. I would defently use the seconded one.
I’m actually wondering if the T249 Vigilante was added, it can still abuse the current overpressure mechanics against heavy and medium tanks even with only HE. Considering that not only is it a 37mm calibre size Gatling gun, but it can spit out them giant bullets at 3000 RPM…
Or at the very least, shred the other player’s computer and FPS.
Hehehehehe.
It will be a good 7.0-7.7 SPAA
Any SPAA with HE-VT is a keeper. A lot of players underestimate it, but HE-VT is super effective against air than regular HE rounds. Regardless what Br it is. Even I use the Type 99 SPH has a anti air when I see Air.
So really do hope the US gets the M19 MGMC SPAA. Perfect for 6.0 to 7.0 range
Britain = huge gap between Skink (or Bosvark) [5.3] and the Falcon [8.3] which should have been dropped into the 7s and no radar.
Japan = Sub-I-II [5.3] and M163 [7.3]
France = AMX-10P [6.3] which skips an entire rank to the AMX-30 [8.7]
Then there’s low-rank Sweden - not one decent CAS-killing vehicle until the LvKv 42 [4.7] which even then, has a relatively low ROF.
Even the U-SH 204 [5.3] which has a great ROF, comes with a pedestrian turret traverse considering it uses a relatively small gun.
