The issue people have with the VEAK is that they remember what the VEAK was like when it had HE-VT. So no matter how good it still is, it’s just not the same. It has been ruined for them. It’s dead to them.
Lots of nations needs more SPAA.
But the most important things first!!
Russia didn’t have the one of best toptier SPAA, so that HAVE to change… duh!
And im allmost willing to bet a nut Gaijin will give Russia minimum 1 more AA vehicle more before they are even considering giving other nations anything.

I remember what the VEAK 40 was like before they removed the HE-VT, it was absolutely broken and fun to play since CAS was a major issue at that BR. Every nation would struggle against good players using CAS at those BR’s since they didn’t get missiles or effective high explosive ammunition unless it directly impacted the aircraft, which could be avoided by changing your direction by about 10 degrees either direction or by simply accelerating or decelerating. This is what made the VEAK 40 especially effective at almost any BR. they had to nerf it though because it negatively impacted russia and america in-game which are the 2 highest sellers to my knowledge.
WZ305 is at rank V, BR 8.0, and has HE-VT.
A M42 variant with HE-VT wouldn’t be unprecedented at that BR.

It was fun to play towards the end of its HE-VT life. There was a portion where the HE-VT was bugged and would explode so far away from the enemy that you’d just tickle them, lol.
It will go to 7.7. Yes, it used to be 7.3, but with the decompressions… 7.3 back then would be 7.7 now.
btw, to answer this topic: America needs to stop spamming so much CAS at 6.7-7.0. It is losing them games. I have a 70% winrate as Germany 7.0, and a good chunk of that is Allied teams losing the games for themselves by throwing away their spawn points in air. Heck, i bet if you gave them more SPAA, they will still jump in CAS and we’ll be in the same situation we’re in now. More SPAA is always good, though.
I’ve played the M19A1 a ton. The Bofors are very good for anti-air. You just need to be able to aim, rather than brainlessly spray’n’pray.
The M163 is very good at its BR. It’s simply primarily played by players who don’t know how to properly handle a finnicky radar.
It definitely needs APDS though. Being unable to damage most light tanks kinda sucks.
If you can prove it used it, then you should make a bug report. I’d love to see some separation between the M19A1 and M42.

It only had 60 rounds of 40mm, Even if it had more that’s not exactly 5.7 worthy.
Also those holes on the top tell me it would die to random rockets just like any open AA.
The Skink would still be better since its actually fully enclosed and you don’t need to be as conscious about conserving ammo.
My M19A1 has 556 total kills and 382 battles.
Few tanks are considered “great” by new players.

no worry it only can carry HE shell.
actually the nerf wasnt because of russia, but because someone reported the fact the he-vt came out like 2 years after the veak program was axed, meaning it never had access to the round.
now sweden sits with zero effective spaa at any given br, besides maybe top tier.
problem with that vehicle is simply the lack of ammo. it had like 4 seconds of ammo before it was completely dry and took minutes to reload each drum, could fire for ~minute with its low rof setting, but 120 rpm against planes isnt fun. case in point the badger has 100rpm.
