They didnt have the absolut best top tier AA and by magic, the new Pantsir is here.
The Strella was a menace, and it took them precisely one update to have a replacement at its old spot, which means they KNEW it was insane before the BR change, or they were ready to have 2 machines at that BR instead trying to balance the nations with AA to other nations, you decide which is the most wrong.
They have given USSR/Russia so many AA vehicles, and for example what did they give the US? the bloody Stink™ and then they hoped that will shut them up.
this in balance is the single biggest bias in my eyes, other nations have huge gaps or have bad AA, while Gaijin is spoonfeeding Russia with AA.
I guys the Devs maining Russia don’t like to get bombed…

What? it was 9.3 with the Type 93, it was up tiered quickly and it was over a year before the ZSU-23-4M4 was added at that BR

The ZSU-23-4M4 came in the Alpha Strike update in march 2024.

I was agreeing with the other poster in that the lack of spaa is not a problem that only the US TT suffers from.

It’s got about the same ROF as the M19/M42 do since it has the later Bofors instead of the WW2 design. By far it’s biggest drawback is the extremely low ammo count. You simply can’t spray and pray like you can with a Duster or, using a SPAA with the same gun, the AMX-13 DCA 40.
However, that SAPHEI the Swedish Bofors get (Yes, all 4 of em) is absolutely disgusting at mowing down tanks.

Oh yeah, they are good at killing ground units.
But it leaves gap in the TT for SWE to defend itself against CAS in lower ranks. Have been bombed many times, and the options to respond are pretty weak.

Until 7.7 Sweden has 3 usable planes, the b-239, VL Pyörremyrsky and the a21rb… And these planes don’t do well once you start pushing them past their br ranges, add on your spaa is non existent for anti aircraft works, doesn’t help things at all

So what if it has decent armor. It’s weakness are the Polsen guns. You realize the higher it goes in BR the tougher it is to kill air targets right? The skink guns are too weak for that BR and the vehicle is just too slow.

Pretty much all of them aside from the J26 (And maybe the A-21s, I haven’t used em) are good dogfighters.
Maybe 6.7 is a little bit tough for Shrink, but it should be at least 6.0, it can almost defend all of normal cannons attack from aircraft. I must say it is the best thing against German or USSR CAS planes, which use cannons
I don’t think that it is hard to kill props, like YAK9UT or DO335Bs, when it is exist at base, there is almost no chance to approach him, even the shrink doesn’t notice you. and that’s why I mention even add some rockets or small bombs doesn’t matter, I would love to see CAS destroy it by using rokcets, but seems too hard.
ya no. the hurricane is a hurricane, its problems stems from the fact its a early British plane, so its non existent firepower is a problem.
the bf109s are bf109s, great pounces but struggle to dog fight anything that isnt a p51d, mostly because gaijin murdered its flight model where now when youre below 300kph youre a bus, and anything above 500 youre a bus again, and that in between speed is where youre a large van instead of a bus
the j22 is a b239, with more firepower and at a br where it cant fight anything because its a sluggish bus, case in point the j22b is at the same br as a la5fn, with half the engine power and 0.5 tons less weight. all because it has 4 20mm guns affectively.
the j21’s are all 3.7 performance planes at 4.3 solely because of their firepower and nothing else.
the sole reason the rb’s are usable at 6.7 is because their jet engines are actually strong enough to keep your top speed, slight problem with that is the airframe was never upgraded so you still rip your wings past 800kph i believe, its that or 700 i cant remember.
and finally, the j29’s are meh. literally theyre average aircraft, which is a problem because that means in any given fight youre gonna lose to a plane of the same br because there will be an advantage while you dont have any. ironically the j29d has this problem fixed by being an undertiered j29f affectively.
