America Needs a 6.7 or 7.0 SPAA

what gun is that?

My thoughts:

T100 Stinger: BR 6.3-6.7 based on the quality of the radar it gets ingame

M19: BR 7.3±0.3 based on turret traverse

That would be more fitting as a 7.3 to replace the M163 so the M163 can move up.

imo, closed top SPAAs are just bad for balance at WW2 brs.

I’m guessing you have never used a M42 in the SPAA role.

It uses .60 cal (15mm) machine guns. It would be fine. The damn M163 is 7.3 with a 20mm vulcan with a radar tracker and it isn’t even considered that good.

Could just do radar-less M163 at 7.0 (although full down tiers would be a massacre). I was looking through everyone else’s SPAA, and realized there isn’t a single unique 7.0 SPAA (ZSU-57-2 copy pasted everywhere) or 8.0 (ZSU-23-4, and a slight exception with the WZ305).

Only the one they removed from the tree.

Spoiler

WZ305 is unique where it matters. Once you go HE-VT, you don’t wanna use any other trees ZSU-57-2.

grinding america and yea nah american mains are lying or flat out bad as that tree is goated bro

Ok, why is the M42 somehow acceptable as a 6.7 spaa

yea looking at the Falcon at 8.3 that could still be at a higher BR than the M163 even without radar

Twin 40mm guns are very powerful

the VEAK can do very well with them at 7.7

The veak and m42 are sooooo different

as an American main, the American TT is good but it still needs SPAA between 6.7-70

The VEAK also has much faster firing 40mm than the M42 and a radar.

They have extremely low area saturation, which is extremely important for a SPAA. Their only real benefit is having 1. high damage if they hit and 2. good ballistics, but they require extremely precise aiming and don’t have large margins of error. The VEAK autoaims for you to eliminate all of the difficulty and has almost 3x the rate of fire of the M42.

the VEAK-40 uses the L/70 which has a higher rate of fire, velocity, and accuracy. Not to mention the fact that it gets a radar.

The developers seem to think otherwise, as the VEAK has been stuck with L/60 velocity ever since it had it’s HE-VT removed

I play all tech trees so this neglect really grinds my gears.

which is why its 7.7

Suggestion:
USA National guard used dusters until 1988, 40mm HE-VT entered service in 1975, leave the M-19 as is and give the M-42 Duster HE-VT.
