Allow SPAA into air mode

The issue is making spaa good enough that people would play them while also not actively forcing planes into a barrel.

Yeah, with the exception of top tier (and barely), player controller SPAA would probably spend most matches doing nothing, especially as aircraft would either kill them immediately or actively avoid the area.

Unless they added a critical objective that needed to be destroyed, it would be pointless, but even then, SEAD is a thing. Which is about to get a lot better hopefully

i have experience seeing 1/3 of my team blowing up by a single plane completely changing the outcome of a ground battle or pars 3 destroying 5 tanks in a single spawn cuz F&F helicopter appears on 8.7 while ground F&F missile increase a vehicle br into 10.0+

Hope that the SEAD testing leads to a way where they could be added.

Though even if they find a way, they might just let players vote for it and we saw how that goes…

SPAA only works in GRB because CAS is forced to operate within a postage stamp to actually do anything.

That is not what happens in Air modes.

Besides we do already have SPAAs to deal with in gamemodes like ASB. Convoys protected by SPAAGs that will snipe you at 5km and will pre-fire before you are even in LoS.

So player controller SPAA would be a nerf to what we already have to deal with.

Well, it would probably turn into SM-SV from both team killing at closer range and everyone will be MP instead.
Remove SM-SV and i would kinda love too see SPAA in air mode

Timed fuse shells need to be manual set, as in real life. It should be tied to the sight distance control setting or a new control added to set times fuse time.

From what I’ve seen, CAS mains would be VERY happy to have more SPAA free kills in ARB.

im not crying just saying that SPAA in air mode instead of npc would be a cool addition for SPAA lovers

Being SACLOS, being in MP would be the worst approach, Id fly at 50k ft.

Nobody is though, in fact, Player controlled SPAA would actually make the gamemode easier based upon what we’ve already got with SPAAGs in ASB and what SAMs were like in the Nuclear Thunder Event.

If OSA performed like that all the time, they would need to be 11.7+ in GRB

The issue is that at the moment, just parking a few player controlled SPAA into ARB would actually be one of the most boring gamemodes imaginable. The maps are too large and there is nothing really for the SPAA to defend.

I could see a future attack and defend gamemode, where player controlled SPAAs could work to augment defenders in aircraft, similar to the Deep Strike event we had not long ago, but just normal, every day ARB? No, you would be sat AFK from BR 1 to about 12.0 most of the match, and even at top tier, no gurantee you wouldnt just be focused fired by everyone or just avoided, especially if they ever add appropriately sized maps

If they added the players’ anti-aircraft systems in air battles at least I would level the Samp/T, leveling it in land battles is a mess also because the maps are not designed for moving buildings
