Allow Bushes to be Turned Off in Graphics

Bushes are the worst pay2win feature of this game aside from BI. Seriously, small, invisible tanks are ruining the game, they can park in the open and basically can’t be spotted unless someone is great at spotting, but that’d be too late anyway.

Just rework how they function make them fall off when beeing shot at
and the most important change make them not allowed to obstruct any
view ports i.e. drivers sight, commanders sight, gunners sight at the moment they
are not allowed to be placed DIRECTLY on some sights but you can place them 1mm next to it
lol whats the point? besides that currently your rule only applies to some tanks

Spoiler

notice how the only thing blocking the bush to be placed on the IS-2 is the barrel?

They already do.

Second most annoying thing after CAS in GRB imo.

epsecially on small vehicles

When? When they get hit by HE? They barely fall off when I slap them with a hail of 30mm from my SPAAs. They like to fall off when I hit them with my PzH.2000 though. And a HEAT/APDS/APFSDS/APHE/APCBC does absolutely nothing to them, using the rooftop machine gun just tickles them. They’re the hardest decorations in the game to remove from a tank.

You have to be lying because basic MG fire knocks them off without an issue, let alone a tank or arty shell impacting them.

You can only knock them off if you hit a very small region in the centre of the bush, which is absurdly easy to mask because most tanks aren’t 100% flat.

False. Gaijin enlarged the hitbox for bushes to knock them off ages ago.

Why you people keep lying about it I will never understand.

Hitbox for this one. Some are smaller like the small bush on top.

Whenever I get shot at, i lose 1 or all of them. Explosions from any source including Artillery, bombs, HE etc…destroys the bushes quicker.

It does more than that, Shaders are removed, shadows arent as bright, small shadows are completely removed, less objects, simpler LODs etc… your name is ULQ Lover ofcourse you dont want your allowed cheats to be taken away

I have this name as people still don’t get that removing ULQ wont change a single thing.

But if it makes Your day better, feel free to think what You want.

Unless it’s one of the small gimmick troll tanks; bushes have never fooled me at all, even at a distance. It’s not hard at all to recognize a “that’s a tank with bushing on it” from “oh thats just a bush.”

There’s how many hundreds of ground vehicles in this game? And there’s what: maybe 20 or so tiny vehicles that can be completely swallowed up and 100% covered from at least the front? That’s nothing. That’s hardly a drop in the ocean.

People make waaaaayyyyy to much of bushes. In truth, they are nothing more than extra cosmetics as far as I am concerned. Sure, you can cover a Jumbo’s hull MG port but it’s not hard to commit to memory where that is, and it’s not the ONLY weakspot (using Jumbo as one example).

Then I guess it’s not a problem for Gaijin to add an option to turn off decorations for people who want it, just like decals can be?

I never gave an opinion on that one way the other, I could not care less if they do or do not.

I am saying people who whine about bushes are being silly.

About a year ago, I posted this:

Exactly nothing has changed in that time.

The bush brigade will tell you that bushes provide no benefits, differences in spotting or whatever…but they never can explain why bushes are not treated like the goofy fictional decorations which may be toggled on/off.

If bushes were actually superfluous, having an on/off toggle for them would be no matter at all…so it’s pretty easy to read the reality of it all.

Let people turn them off who cares.

Whining about bushes is still silly.

Bushes break up the natural shape of the vehicle making your subconcious take longer to recognize in certain situations. They can also not cover your entire frontal vehicle but cover enough of the turret and upper half to where you can crest hills and look like a bush growing up fast. You can say you don’t personally think it impacts you much but you can’t say it doesn’t impact you at all simply down to the fact about profiles being broken up.

All of this is nice but I haven’t even started on the fact you can hide weakspots. You may be able to find out what is a bush and what is a bush on top of a tank, sure, but I don’t believe you can memorize the exact shape and exactly where every weakspot on a tank is when somebody covers them with bushes.

This is such a rare occurrence that it’s a non-issue

As my post said there are a handful of vehicles that can be 100% engulfed frontally in bushes, I have done this myself many times. This fits your narrative so it’s odd you’d argue against it.

You absolutely can with experience.
