What are you talking about? The only yellow arrows are squad pings, which require someone in your squad to visually see a target and ping that area. Scout pings are a different color, and also require someone else to visually spot the tank. Neither account for the vast majority of tanks on the field in my experience. It’s rare to get a good scouting map with good scouts that position themselves to be able to spot large parts of the enemy team, and even then it’s not like they’ll get everyone.
Then play another game. I mean if you only play one match a month I suggest you already are.
The only thing I ask for on here are era separation and a TO mode simply because I think they will make Gaijin money in the long term and I have Ideas how to implement it.Do I belive I will ever see them ,no but at least I understand business and see WT as a business.
I’m not just bleating jealously for the hell of it because I got whacked by somebody with something I cant afford. I play on Xbox against people who have 20ks worth of flying rig in their 10 million dollar house in Saudi Arabia or what ever.I play PC cheats on my console.I played as level one against level 100 when I started and I face premiums I can never buy myself. We have the full up tier to contend with.
I just see arrows over targets telling me they are there, Are you suggesting I am imagining that? Am I a fool to think that the same arrows are not over my head when I am covered in the expensive bushes I foolishly bought thinking it might get a serious advantage?
What do you think I am talking about? I am talking about what I see in the game what ever did you imagine I might be talking about?
Automatic spotting of tanks is literally not a thing outside of Arcade battles. I’ve given you the only two examples of that in Realistic battles, which, again, neither is automatic nor do they bypass the original requirement to actually spot the tanks. Either a light tank has already spotted them, or your squadmate has. Do you think bushes might affect this ability for other players to spot them?
Nor do they cause players to be able to get accurate shotss on weakspots through the bushes. Or type the tank.
I wouldn’t mind people being able to turn them on/off as I couldn’t really care less. I have 6x pack of the best bushes and I just don’t use them as they are not needed.
I just don’t like not understanding the difference between P2W and P2P.
It’s clear that it’s beyond some people’s comprehension that someone could argue for something but their own personal interest, somehow that keeps happening around here.
Lol of course it is ,I see markers telling me there are tanks ,I look and there are. I also see them on the mini map so dressing as a bush only has so much effect if you bother to stop moaning and think about it.What I see the other guys may see.Odd you cant.
I have Gold crews on some vehicles, silver on nearly all of them.
My two mains have mostly maxed crew or not far off.If I have something you don’t then that is another example of unfair. It makes no difference who is putting the spot light on tanks ,they are seeing them either way bushes or not.
Once you own bushes you recognize them a mile away on other tanks and I often home in on them when a tank without them is just a black shape on a black background.
All I am saying is what I am seeing and doing having wasted so much time on this game.So many bushes have no relevance to the maps we use.
I would rather time was spent sorting the crap map situation out rather than worrying about a tank with a bush on it that has a big Arrow pointing to it anyway and one that I can see though buildings.
Bear in mind I am taking about what occurs in game not some mindless Commie principle.
Same here. I bought them in my very naive days and I am not convinced they do more harm than good. All I want is my money back if Gaijin remove them either physically or by nerfing them out of existence.
You’re trying to lecture us on game mechanics when you plainly don’t understand them yourself. There are exactly three ways your position can be visually identified in Ground RB:
Being scouted by a tank with scouting
Being hit by a round fired by an enemy
Having a squadmember ping your location
The crew skill Keen Vision, as well as the Improved Optics modification on tanks with scouting, **literally do nothing** in Ground RB. This is actually wrong, source here: https://youtu.be/ZtjG8HUqe2Q?si=dYsPI4Ok6uquWbrz&t=237. It still doesn’t directly ping you, only give a vague bearing to your location if you’re close enough and offscreen.
The only ways you will be directly pinged in Ground RB is if someone visually spots you, and scouts, hits or pings you themselves.
Accordingly, being bushed is still an advantage at avoiding being pinged, since it reduces the chances of someone spotting you if you’re using concealment at all effectively. Additionally, these pings do not identify the tank in question, nor do they remove the bushes, allowing an unobstructed view of their weakspots. Thus, even in a world where tanks are automatically pinged for you in ground RB, bushes would still provide an advantage.
Im not lecturing anybody but I do play the game a lot and I see what I see and what I see is tanks with or without bushes glowing like a Christmas tree.Think I give a shit as to why? Think it makes a difference?
Few tanks in this game are fully concealed with bushes and most are jsut good players getting into a good position.
Stop trying to sound so clever in what is a simple game.
You certainly do see what you see, but you clearly don’t understand it. When we’re discussing game mechanics (Specifically, how one specific mechanic interacts with the entire game mode as a whole), a solid understanding of how the game works is pretty much the minimum required to engage in any useful way.
If you geniunely believe that bushes aren’t an issue because some tanks get spotted for you, without any understanding of how or why tanks get spotted, and that’s as far as you’re willing to take it, you’re not ready to participate in a conversation about War Thunder’s game mechanics.
50% indeed isn’t everyone, but it means maybe half of the playerbase feel fine to the bushes mechanic. And maybe many of them got bushes for free. It’s really your problem for refusing to grind.
I’d repeat that bushes are not “cosmetic” things. They are used strategically and are realistic which should be keep in this game.
