It’s clear that it’s beyond some people’s comprehension that someone could argue for something but their own personal interest, somehow that keeps happening around here.
Lol of course it is ,I see markers telling me there are tanks ,I look and there are. I also see them on the mini map so dressing as a bush only has so much effect if you bother to stop moaning and think about it.What I see the other guys may see.Odd you cant.
I have Gold crews on some vehicles, silver on nearly all of them.
My two mains have mostly maxed crew or not far off.If I have something you don’t then that is another example of unfair. It makes no difference who is putting the spot light on tanks ,they are seeing them either way bushes or not.
Once you own bushes you recognize them a mile away on other tanks and I often home in on them when a tank without them is just a black shape on a black background.
All I am saying is what I am seeing and doing having wasted so much time on this game.So many bushes have no relevance to the maps we use.
I would rather time was spent sorting the crap map situation out rather than worrying about a tank with a bush on it that has a big Arrow pointing to it anyway and one that I can see though buildings.
Bear in mind I am taking about what occurs in game not some mindless Commie principle.
Shhhhhhh.
You are not supposed to tell them that.
Same here. I bought them in my very naive days and I am not convinced they do more harm than good. All I want is my money back if Gaijin remove them either physically or by nerfing them out of existence.
You’re trying to lecture us on game mechanics when you plainly don’t understand them yourself. There are exactly three ways your position can be visually identified in Ground RB:
- Being scouted by a tank with scouting
- Being hit by a round fired by an enemy
- Having a squadmember ping your location
The crew skill Keen Vision, as well as the Improved Optics modification on tanks with scouting, **literally do nothing** in Ground RB.
This is actually wrong, source here: https://youtu.be/ZtjG8HUqe2Q?si=dYsPI4Ok6uquWbrz&t=237. It still doesn’t directly ping you, only give a vague bearing to your location if you’re close enough and offscreen.
The only ways you will be directly pinged in Ground RB is if someone visually spots you, and scouts, hits or pings you themselves.
Accordingly, being bushed is still an advantage at avoiding being pinged, since it reduces the chances of someone spotting you if you’re using concealment at all effectively. Additionally, these pings do not identify the tank in question, nor do they remove the bushes, allowing an unobstructed view of their weakspots. Thus, even in a world where tanks are automatically pinged for you in ground RB, bushes would still provide an advantage.
Im not lecturing anybody but I do play the game a lot and I see what I see and what I see is tanks with or without bushes glowing like a Christmas tree.Think I give a shit as to why? Think it makes a difference?
Few tanks in this game are fully concealed with bushes and most are jsut good players getting into a good position.
Stop trying to sound so clever in what is a simple game.
You certainly do see what you see, but you clearly don’t understand it. When we’re discussing game mechanics (Specifically, how one specific mechanic interacts with the entire game mode as a whole), a solid understanding of how the game works is pretty much the minimum required to engage in any useful way.
If you geniunely believe that bushes aren’t an issue because some tanks get spotted for you, without any understanding of how or why tanks get spotted, and that’s as far as you’re willing to take it, you’re not ready to participate in a conversation about War Thunder’s game mechanics.
Guy has complained about bushes for 6 years… LOL
50% indeed isn’t everyone, but it means maybe half of the playerbase feel fine to the bushes mechanic. And maybe many of them got bushes for free. It’s really your problem for refusing to grind.
I’d repeat that bushes are not “cosmetic” things. They are used strategically and are realistic which should be keep in this game.
Yeah, bushes are an advantage that shouldn’t be sold, very simple.
Of course accessible, found by most regular players. It’s your play schedule too strange that miss all the events.
You can’t let the GAME fit YOUR schedule.
If you don’t login during anniversary in November, you won’t be able to research Maus. Now say that Maus is P2W. Also event vehicles are P2W. Warbond vehicles are P2W and so on… lol
Those don’t give you an advantage over other players, while bushes do. Paywalled stuff is acceptable, paywalled stuff that gives you a direct advantage isn’t.
Do you have a full german line-up available at 7.7/Rank V? Yes? Then the Maus is not a neccessary component.
You could have an argument if the german tree at rank 5 could only be played using premium or event vehicles.
Some of the event vehicles are kinda OP in a period of time. The F14A IRIAF and object 292 are somewhat strong for example. Now will you ask REMOVING object 292 because you don’t have time to grind while others can simply pay for it?
To sold it or not should be considered by Gaijin. When it is able to grind, it’s already not P2W. Many video games have this mechanic: some guys spend their time to grind something. while some guys spend their money to buy that thing. What usually considered P2W is for things whose only method of obtaining is by payment. You can’t say bushes are P2W only because its grind doesn’t fit your gameplay schedule.
The amount of grind required is just unreasonable for a competitive advantage, you expect players to grind for years to get some bushes, it needs to be in proportion.
I honestly wouldn’t mind it taking a year to get a bush.
If I can play whenever I want, however I want and still see progress without that progress randomly disappearing because of FOMO mechanics.
If it wasn’t a random bush on top of that, but i mean honestly I think you should be able to get a bush in a month or so with the amount of bushes that are available and how most of them are useless.
Makes no difference why so many tanks are lit up like a Christmas tree to anybody in a discussion about seeing enemy tanks. You trying to be clever does make bushes any more effective and there are ways to make bushes much more effective.I personally dont think bushes are much of an issue and just because one guy raises it as the end of the world does not change that. If I play my next ten games and get smashed by an invisible bush every game then that will change and so will my opinion.
What ever form of hiding you chose is of no use once you fire your gun and announce yourself to the world.
I should hope if I am paying for something then I get something for it.No advantage no pay for things like bushes or crew skills. Many Premiums are good tanks or better versions of the standard and they should be if money is changing hands.
It’s entirely relevant considering that the only methods of lighting up an enemy tank rely on someone seeing them first, when the topic of conversation is how bushes make tanks harder to spot in the first place.
I’m sure the smoking wreck of the person he just iced (Who likely had no way of knowing he was there, what tank he was in, or where his weakspots were) takes great solace in the fact that someone else on his team might have an approximate idea of where an enemy tank is. Frankly, I can’t even get my team to help me when they’re 10 meters away and I’m spraying them with my coax, I don’t have a lot of faith in them avenging me. Not that that would help me feel any better from losing an unequal fight.
