You’re kidding, right? I paid for it.
Hence why it should be an option to keep it visible if you want to or turn it off if you don’t find it fair to play against.
Win-win
That is not a win-win. If somebody paid for something that has an impact on gameplay, he paid for that impact on gameplay. If others can just switch off what he has paid for his purchase has lost its value.
If you allow bushes to be turned off, you have to reimburse all players who paid GE for them.
Wrong.
If skins can be turned off despite costing money then so should it be possible for decorations, which is what bushes are first and foremost.
Skins can only be turned off, if they are unhistorical, which makes sense considering that this game is about historical vehicles and claims to represent some realism. This is just for providing fans of proper historical portrayal with a bit of immersion and has nothing to do with removing paid for advantages.
Turning off bushes therefore is entirely different.
I don’t see ahistorical teddy bears on tanks having an option to be disabled.
They should unless there are photos of teddys on tanks, which I expect exist.
As for bushes:

Yuck.
Funny how entitled wallet warriors are to having their unfair advantages.
I am not even using bushes to my advantage.
Changes little of the fact that decorations should be optional to view.
In a game based around aiming for weakspots it is unreasonable to be able to hide these.
The game is not based around aiming for weakspots. It is based on history.
Historically the exterior of vehicles was modified to hide silhouettes and weakspots.
If anything, camouflage decoration should be more widely available for free.
If you were to take 5 more seconds to think of what I said then you would come to realize I was talking about about gameplay rather than theme…
Which is what the second part of my message was about. ;)
It’s a very complicated issue. Bushes are employed in war, yes, but the problems with these in game, in my opinion are:
-
They’re placed in extremely unrealistic ways.
-
The most controversial one. They’re P2W. They offer you a huge advantage over the enemy, and this is well known.
How many times have I died to a tank that had a ton of different bushes placed over him, covering every single viewport.
This is also correct. There needs to be a way to implement them in a realistic fashion. Right now, players only have to look out for the viewports if they put them up for SB.
The main issue with the “I paid” argument is that the consumer’s money isn’t Gaijin’s responsibility.
Ultimately someone is making the choice to spend money on pixels.
This of course doesn’t mean that Gaijin should be able to nonchalantly handle the products provided to consumers, but the option to hide decorations in the menu doesn’t take anything away from the user who paid. If one paid for them in order to have historical immersion, which is also used as an argument, then this should be a non-issue. If one spent the money in order to gain an unfair advantage then too bad, their choice to open their wallet. Nothing is being taken away from them, so there shouldn’t be anything to complain about. Crying about losing unfair advantages doesn’t count.
depending on vehicle, 6 bushes can cover entire front of the vehicle … and that’s even without the old 6-piece pay to win bush pack (that one is really disgusting)
Yes like the eye won’t be instantly drawn to the colour contrast there and the great gun sticking out. Big MG on the roof? Odd thing is that most players if you ran a competition would instantly identify those tanks and in game just fire at the central mass which is all they would do if they were on the spot anyway .
I can make my tanks look like that the picture above so if I am pay to win I would have 80% rates on my stats right? Fact is I put bushes on from almost day one and still struggled as much as the next newbie. Total BS. Given a second to fire face to face in a town and its just pot shot time, bushes or no bushes.
Yeah you’re just trolling man.
More trolling.
Still trolling.
Actively derailing and shitposting.
No one buys bushes for the aesthetic or to hide their tank unless it’s an M22 / Wiesel
Arguing otherwise is an immediate recognition you’re not discussing the mechanic you’re just trolling.
