Airspawn in mixed battles

I propose relocating the air respawn points 20 kilometers away from the battlefield at 11.0+ B.R. The reason is simple, and its name is Pantsir-S1. Upon respawn, aircraft immediately find themselves within the strike zone of this SPAA. Therefore, I propose the following options:

  1. Relocate the air respawn point farther away.
  2. Create two respawn points — one closer and one farther away, similar to the respawn points for helicopters.
  • I support the first option.
  • I support the second option.
  • I don’t support any option.

Option 3: Remove airspawns for all aircraft at all BRs.

I actually support this, having spawns at the AF would be generally beneficial as a soft nerf to CAS
An exception should be drones though since they are so I believably slow and also far less equipped than a manned vehicle

I think the opposite- they need a buff. They were introduced as an “aircraft for all” allowing players to perform CAS at high tiers without having to grind an entire air tree. But instead they’re nearly useless with no speed nor maneuverability and only a pair of missiles.

Imo they should be removed and replaced with naval’s system (Basically a random CAS or fighter for a set SP)

Not just 11.0

It should be no airspawn at all BRs. For float aircraft and planes with excessive take-off length, the same solution can be applied as air sim does: spawn them right above the runway at ~+20% of the stall speed without flaps (take PBM to air sim and see for yourself!).

And the runway itself should scale by rank (rank 1: current runway distance, rank 2: Current runway distance. Rank 3, rank 4: 15 km. Rank 5: 20 km. Rank 6+: Probably more than 20 km given you can easily hit 700 km/h not long after take off with afterburners)

Tbh… I would rather not make the trip to the battlefield so long, especially for lower BRs. Its dead time spent doing jack shit, and I would rather carefully tune SP costs.

no because then as spaa you wont see that a plane has spawned in and they will fly low and strafe you without you being able to prepare

It has a special impact:

Loiter time, stamina becomes important.

This means rather than taking a 1000 lbs bomb for a guaranteed easy kill, you might take 4 250 lbs bombs instead- still very viable for 1 kill 1 bomb, but it requires you to fly in closer and aim it better.

It also means taking aircraft that can carry more rockets and bombs becomes preferable to a fighter-bomber you strapped a single bomb to. A fighter-bomber is a very agile thing (compared to a dedicated strike plane), easily able to engage in defensive maneuvers while presenting a small target.

Just two light tanks sitting at spawn can reveal all the enemies position with their scout drone, that basically make sneaking around useless, its incredibly broken and I don’t mind their removal lol

And removing airspawns does not make it any less fun, you still get to bomb tanks without any reliabe counters at most BRs.

You can’t add a “wait” between russia’s point-click gameplay, they would be overwhelmed. Very unfair.

Yes, take off from airfields will nerf CAS, but this is not a solution either. If you have noticed, the match times have become much shorter compared to 1-2 years ago, and on top of that, the match will be over until any aircraft with a full load below 8.7 Br takes off from the airport and gains altitude.

Would ironically both buff CAS and make playing tanks less insufferable but CAS players can’t put two and two together.

Yep. Airspawn CAS needs 3 notable changes.

  1. the spawn point needs to be moved further back (this is going to become even more relevant if/when we get SAMs even longer ranged than the Pantsir (hopefully soon)

  2. The spawn speed of aircraft needs to be notably increased. Spawning in something like the Tornado is rather painful because its barely enough speed to stay aloft. An increase of about 50% is needed

  3. Additional air spawn points are needed to mitigate spawn camping slightly and to enable aircraft to attack with a bit more surprsie without having to rely always on the airfield spawn. (I would say though, that it shouldnt be 1 forward and 1 back, but rather both to be further away, but simply at 90 ° or so from each other

Runways should be MIN 50-100KM from the MIDDLE OF THE MAP helicopters should SPAWN 25KM AWAY
