And another thing that needs fixing: Points. A rather important thing seeing as rewards depend on points.

Just 135 pts for a ship? Nothing for damage - really? Players in Naval get points for damage delivered and vessels in Air EC have the same DM, so it shouldn’t be difficult to reward damage and give assists. Getting 135 pts for a target that might be small, moving and can shoot back (sometimes very effectively) is nonsensical when mashing the space bar over an undefended base gives >3 times the reward.

Recently the points for the surveillance aircraft was reduced from something up to 300 (it seemed to vary) to just 23, yea, twenty_****ing_three. Likewise the radar SPAA which simply deletes players at will only yields a twenty-something points reward.

There really is little point in anything other than bombing bases. I did try yesterday, as I’d unlocked the TV-guided missiles on the Su-17M4, but they wouldn’t lock on the moving targets in a convoy, so I went for the static AA defences on a nearby airfield (wow, 40-ish points) and on the way home I found a surveillance aircraft (ooh, another 23). As that gave under 1000 RP at the end of the UA cycle I reverted to base-bombing for >6000 per sortie (plus landing bonus).

Did you start flying new, higher BR planes?

I think this is due to the BR correction. At prop brackets, I get the expected A.I kill scores around 200/a.i bomber or a.i survey plane. From the few times I fly my 10-11 jets, A.I there are awfully undertiered on most maps (I’ve even found Bf109F4s on siciliy! Bf109F4s! I was very confused).

Dropping a full salvo on a bomber formation (Cl-13 iirc) in F3H-2 gives over a thousand score.

Yea, it is 10+ where I noticed this. How typically Gaijin: ‘No, no, we couldn’t possibly find time to change ai aircraft to more BR-appropriate types…. Nerf player rewards until they’re totally insignificant? Yea, done already.”

Seems you can get an assist on ships for around 90 points. I remember getting one ages ago when the more realistic DMs were introduced, but hadn’t received an assist, despite damaging dozens of vessels, since then - until this morning. So, yea, assists are a theoretical possibility if the moon phase is just right or something. I’ve left ships for dead, ie, they’re in a state I know will give a kill when they sink or burn out in a few minutes, but someone else hits them for a kill before then and nothing for me.

So, another BR Change and another time where Sim was forgotten.

Such a shame we still dont get 12.3 and 13.3 Brackets

This is the main reason why I don’t play sim as much I could.

It’s just not worth playing if you die before your first full UA cycle.

Yeah, that is one of the biggest issues with the SL Economy in Sim at the moment, you start every game in debt

i got a question can someone explain to me please? why is the netz (mod) 13.0 in sim? it gets uptiered to 13.0-14.0 in sim to you take an F16A against Fox 3 and IRCCM missiles.
how it that fair or make sense?

Slightly outdated with no 14.0, but just change the 13.7 to 14.0 and its accurate

The BR rotation changes every 48 hours. If you wait, there will be either a 12.0-13.0 or 12.3-13.0 bracket and it will alternate between being uptiered vs 14.0s and being downtiered. We also really want a 13.3 bracket to get added where it should operate semi-okay.

Though I have absolutely no answer for you as to why its 13.0 in SB and not 12.7.

I think its just the Python-3s. They are very good for Non-IRCCM missiles and its a bit of a "legacy BR"back when IR missile dogfighters were the meta and the Netz has been in the game long before IRCCM was even a thing. So its always been one of the strongest IR dogfighters right up until the Gripen A and later the Belgium F-16A with IRCCM were added. But 13.0 is a total mess of a BR and could do with being decompressed.

I just tried SA-2 SAMs in custom battles.

I wish they replace Roland 1 airfield SAMs to them for punish rocket zombers. Also, it looks ways harder to dodge.

As I understand, they are planning to add new missions/events (Afganistan and Golan Heights maps) with these new S-75 SAMs next week.

More than happy to have something hard to fight, but just hope they aren’t impossible to deal with. We don’t want death spheres just danger zones

Yeah, me too. I tested these missiles. Looks like they are launched at 23km, but their effective range is much bigger.
Even with current SB maps these SAMs should be fine. Much more protection of airfields.

Yep, though im more interested in their resistance to CMs. It would be frustrating if the only defence was MP or kinematics. I like a good loft attack against an AF with the Tornado, but it would be annoying if that wasnt possible anymore because I was instantly sniped out the air by a SAM even if im deploying copious amounts of chaff.

Though having to engage in SEAD before attempting such an attack would in itself be interesting. As long as they didnt instantly respawn
