I still have to buy a VR headset for that, and damn those are so costy.
I can move the head with a thumb joystick on my Ursa Minor but it’s not as easy as moving the head.

VR is great and WT generally support it well. But There is a tradeoff when you use a VR set, you can’t really check your six as well as you can with TrackIR or joy pov and resolution is not as great as a good quality monitor so due to WT rendering problems when someone fly below you unless is maneuvering and pulling vortex conttails it’ll be invisible to you.

The only good thing in WT VR is the aircraft cockpit, beyond that the image quality drops so much for VR standarts, also HMD sight is not aligned for planes that have it. And recently I am seeing a bug where when you press X-Ray in hangar, two small figure of X-Ray image of the aircraft appears aligned to each eye and they move with your head and no info appears even if you move your mouse over modules, just tried with aircraft so don’t know if it is the case for tanks, ships, helis, boats either. Also when you lock someone with radar, the hud disappears after a few seconds. I would make a bug report for each of these but I am not feeling good about how much gaijin cares.

I kinda thought about it, and I have come to an idea. You wount be rewardet at the time of the action, but a minut or less after that.
Bombing an airfied would be done since the dive doesnt last more than a few seconds and when you get into a fighter you have atleast some hope for an reward.
I kill and after a minute, the reward will come.
This wouldnt solve “ZOMBERS” but will help fighters fighting them. There wount be any waiting at the airfield, everyone will go back to the air right after reloading, there will be more action in the game and you wount loose that much SL. (In realistick battles you need just one kill to cover your repair cost why not that in sim?)

Yeah… Can’t wait to see We face against tons of F-111/F-4 zombers again 💀

Best 6-buck (1155 or less golden eages with 30% off) premium redfor or flex-redfor propeller plane in your opinion out of the following selection:

French yak-3 - most appealing, but it’s french and france is mostly bluefor and if I’m flying bluefor, I got mustang Ia
Soviet P63A5 - It’s american plane on redfor so I worry about IFF, and soviet is sometimes blue at WW2. It does feel fun to handle in US TT.
German Yak-1B - IFF problem with some soviet vs german lobbies, but seems fun when soviets are with germans.
Ki-100-II - IIRC people hate this plane like Ki-84? Only option without IFF issues, but there’s lots of no-japan lobbies so I feel it’d be resricted as a SL-printer fighter.

Thoughts?

Or skip the V-day 30% off sale and go for the 50% off sale during summer for the hungarian Bf109? That plane is genuinely appealing, but it’s out of budget with 30% and only budget-viable with 50%.

I want a plane to complement my Mustang MkIa in BR, lobby choices and gameplay mostly.

What I’m waiting for. ASB EC improvements and updates.

  1. New SB EC maps - Pyrenees, Kamchatka, etc.
  2. Re-work and improve maps.
  3. Re-work map objectives, AI, AI behavior.
  4. Re-work airfield defense. They aren’t buggy and actually shoot hostiles. Add Pantsir-S1 above 12.3 where Fox 3’s are present.

Soviet P-63. I have that and the French Yak, but, given your conditions, it sounds like you’ve almost talked yourself out of the Yak-3. I avoid one-off captured stuff, especially if it was only evaluated and not used operationally, and unfortunately many German premiums fall into that category. However, Yak-1b might suit you well given the requirements - but it’s Rank II and others all Rank III, which might matter when you consider events, BP tasks etc. I think the Ki-100 would not disappoint either. I don’t have it and have not flown the TT Ki-100 much either (always pick Zeros or Oscars for some reason).

AFAIK the next sale after May will be the WT anniversary sale in November. I don’t recall a summer sale, so it will be a long wait if you skip May.

And another thing that needs fixing: Points. A rather important thing seeing as rewards depend on points.

Just 135 pts for a ship? Nothing for damage - really? Players in Naval get points for damage delivered and vessels in Air EC have the same DM, so it shouldn’t be difficult to reward damage and give assists. Getting 135 pts for a target that might be small, moving and can shoot back (sometimes very effectively) is nonsensical when mashing the space bar over an undefended base gives >3 times the reward.

Recently the points for the surveillance aircraft was reduced from something up to 300 (it seemed to vary) to just 23, yea, twenty_****ing_three. Likewise the radar SPAA which simply deletes players at will only yields a twenty-something points reward.

There really is little point in anything other than bombing bases. I did try yesterday, as I’d unlocked the TV-guided missiles on the Su-17M4, but they wouldn’t lock on the moving targets in a convoy, so I went for the static AA defences on a nearby airfield (wow, 40-ish points) and on the way home I found a surveillance aircraft (ooh, another 23). As that gave under 1000 RP at the end of the UA cycle I reverted to base-bombing for >6000 per sortie (plus landing bonus).

Did you start flying new, higher BR planes?

I think this is due to the BR correction. At prop brackets, I get the expected A.I kill scores around 200/a.i bomber or a.i survey plane. From the few times I fly my 10-11 jets, A.I there are awfully undertiered on most maps (I’ve even found Bf109F4s on siciliy! Bf109F4s! I was very confused).

Dropping a full salvo on a bomber formation (Cl-13 iirc) in F3H-2 gives over a thousand score.

Seems you can get an assist on ships for around 90 points. I remember getting one ages ago when the more realistic DMs were introduced, but hadn’t received an assist, despite damaging dozens of vessels, since then - until this morning. So, yea, assists are a theoretical possibility if the moon phase is just right or something. I’ve left ships for dead, ie, they’re in a state I know will give a kill when they sink or burn out in a few minutes, but someone else hits them for a kill before then and nothing for me.

So, another BR Change and another time where Sim was forgotten.

Such a shame we still dont get 12.3 and 13.3 Brackets

This is the main reason why I don’t play sim as much I could.

It’s just not worth playing if you die before your first full UA cycle.

Yeah, that is one of the biggest issues with the SL Economy in Sim at the moment, you start every game in debt

i got a question can someone explain to me please? why is the netz (mod) 13.0 in sim? it gets uptiered to 13.0-14.0 in sim to you take an F16A against Fox 3 and IRCCM missiles.
how it that fair or make sense?

Slightly outdated with no 14.0, but just change the 13.7 to 14.0 and its accurate

The BR rotation changes every 48 hours. If you wait, there will be either a 12.0-13.0 or 12.3-13.0 bracket and it will alternate between being uptiered vs 14.0s and being downtiered. We also really want a 13.3 bracket to get added where it should operate semi-okay.

Though I have absolutely no answer for you as to why its 13.0 in SB and not 12.7.
