Notice one thing? there is a certain nation that should be able to also be played on both sides in the Cold War that never gets to leave Red Team…Germany. If Japan can go red or Blue, so should Germany, if only to get away from the 106 spam for a bit.
And let’s just say WW2 brackets with cold war Jets or basically 7.0-10.0 are particularly borked for the old Axis countries. Although Japan atleast has some decent fighters 8.0-9.3. (Well the 9.3 would be great if there wasn’t an F-106.)
And due to that F-106, F11F-1, F3H-2 combination any nation that fights the US suffers. Those three are the big problem, well and the F8U at 10.0, everything else you can beat, if you get the enemy to overcommit, even the Lightning is doable, though not easy.
And no I haven’t been playing this Weekend, I was at the Oldtimertreffen (Oldtimer meet) 2025 Air Show at the Hahnweide this weekend, lugging around my big lens+Camera and a second Camera with a smaller Tele.
Good times, absolutely knackeret though, using the D500+200-500mm F5.6E is a workout, especially when you do it three days in a row.

Hey guys I just saw in the changelog for the next update that a Pradesh operation map is going to arrive in game, does anyone know if it will be available in ASB or will it be like the last times and there won’t be anything ?
(I just assume there won’t be anything as always but I just want to be sure I’ll be disapointed)

there are so many good options for maps that they could add, that arent new

I would love to have mysterious valley for top tier. Super easy to multipath for those people yet has so much terrain and cover. Plus a row of objectives in the middle the battle field with beautiful rivers running through it

Of course it’s obviously an issue also with the current setup - but at least you have a choice sometimes, whereas before for a while for some aircraft there was no choice at all.
Also, remember that the Red/Blue are not always the same: Some countries are exclusive to one side or the other, others can appear on both sides. Also I’d like to mention that I personally find it high time that those country setups should be completely reworked and extended, together with randomizing the size of the map where the opposing teams start.
By no mean do I say that there are no problems, what I say is that I find it better than before.

You have my support for expansion or decoupling between countries.
I’m sure, even more on the ahistorical side.
I have been trying to spade the R2Y2s in sim. I have only gotten the first two mods on the R2Y2 V1 in about a week because everytime I check for lobbies no matter what time of day it is, nor how many servers I select, I can usually only find 1 lobby with a handful of people in it for rank 5 early jets.
Why does nobody play this BR?

Because it’s pretty terrible in terms of balancing, and the sl costs are super high.

What are the problematic planes
At 7.0, the dynamic is super props vs jets. So basically, the entire game is just jets boom and zooming and then running away against props or them engaging in a turning with a prop then losing. It creates a very boring dynamic which gets repetitive quickly.
Also su-11 just dominates at 7.0
im talking about even if I uptier the r2y2 to higher brs, I mean ANY bracket involving my 7.0 r2y2
Well 8.0 you got the Sagittario 2 that I’ve admittedly abused. It’s impossible to kill in most other planes that are even at higher brs than it. Best turn fighter while going like 1050 on the deck.
7.7 you got stuff like the yak 30 which is basically a me163 but has a jet engine, got energy for days. Compresses a lot but is insane. ALSo p-80c is insane with its wep.
7.3 ehhh, ngl I don’t really know.
Anyways the problem is that power creep is really intense at that br which makes it really unfun to play. You can’t be competitive unless you’re in a meta jet.
And the dynamic against props is just boring.
