there are no lobbies for rank 5 jets, what BR do people start getting interested in opening and playing lobbies again

Start one and go do something else instead of waiting… or just ‘take part’ and you’ll get a random map and a bunch of full reward AI planes to kill who fly like idiots…

People DO join… its not 100% guaranteed but NOT making a room is a 0% chance you’ll get a match…
Be patient… or better, do something else for a while. I frequently start rooms, go eat, come back and I can’t get back in the room I MADE :p

The time you pick to play during the day may not be the one I do. Use some common sense when replying.

Tell me, how many times have you started a room?
Personally, I must have started… 50?
Sometimes I wait 5 minutes and give up and play something else… bombers join Denmark and fighters join Tunisia. Stick to those 2 and you’ll get a game.
I also see you’ve only played 437 sim games… pretty sure my experience trumps yours in this regard.
Common sense would be not throwing around absolutes like “there are no rank 5 lobbies” when there clearly are. :p
it depends on time of day to be fair. for example, at 12-4 am est there’s usually 0 lobbies open for that bracket. other times of day though i can find at least one.
also it’s important to have all servers selected to find lobbies. maybe you just have your home server selected which is why its hard to find lobbies

My advice: Join WingalingDragon’s WTSim LFG Discord. It’s linked in the stickied New Pilot Library at /r/Warthundersim. You don’t strictly need to do formation flying or VC coordination - quite often I just see someone screenshot the lobby, drop it in the LFG channel and ping people with “Hey, we need more axis/allies” and so on.

@Normandy_Corsair I don’t play it because this is the exciting dynamic that you get to deal with.
It does not matter what plane you play or at what time. There is at a maximum one lobby that might have a player or two focusing on PvP in whatever the metamobile of the day is. You shoot that player down once or twice…and they quit the game…leaving you to just farm bombers.
The whole tier is just grinders and stat-padders abusing the most broken planes to farm grinders. The guy who is telling to to just make a new lobby and play against named bots is one of them.
