We’ll see how the individual rotations/brackets will work - main point is: now there is at least the possibility there for all… So practically nothing is lost.

The point is that redside doesn’t get a single dedicated fighter that’s comparable to either of those 3 aircrats.

The best option is the JH7A, a chinese strike aircraft, with only 4 IR missiles

12.3 is gunna be a lot of fun. I can finally play 12.3 mud movers like the Gr7 and Gr4 without having to face Mig-29s

Most premium players are bad and spend most of their time just shooting down teammates. Though I havent played the GR4 in ASB in about 8 months because I got fed up of the constant uptiers so there was no F-18 back then. Gr7 I havent really played in ASB for probably more like 18 months for the same reason.

Forced uptiers suck.

Also I would much rather have to defend against a Aim-7 than an R-27E. I know soviet mains like to pretend R-27Es aren’t that good, but they are stupidly OP

Well, the R-27ER is scary indeed, also when I’m in a Hornet. Especially when fired at closer ranges, you have practically no way to defend yourself…

i mean… most maps people play at those tiers are flat as hell so its fairly easy to multipath

MP is extremely easy to mitigate. Especially if you have DL+IOG

I never ever rely upon MP to defend against an SARH or ARH unless there is absolutely no other choice, but I find it rarely works against R-27Es

You dont need to be high. Just fire the missile up at a slight angle (like 20-30°, maybe more for R-27E that has a lot of surplus thrust). It will most likely come down onto the target with enough of an angle to largely mitigate MP.

Though you can probably also climb and then dive down as well. You have enough performance to do that in a Mig-29

Well, as I said, my point (and reason for happiness) is, that now we have the possibility to chose all BR’s as top at least once, except 14.0. Their original plan was no 12.7 and no 13.7, so 12.7 always forced into Fox-3 land, 13.7 always forced into 14.3.

The current situation for 12.3 has certainly not gotten worse for them, because before they were always forced to fly with 12.7, which they almost never did:

Now they CAN be flown, but maybe will struggle to get matches. RED setups with France are possible, IIRC, and they can be very dangerous for the Tomcats at least.

But also as I’ve mentioned already, it would really be great if the whole BLU/RED setups would be opened up/widened and spawning sides randomized.

Yep. There are several aircraft I simply never touched before because it was largely pointless

  • Harrier Gr7
  • Tornado Gr4
  • Tornado F3 Late
  • Gripen C

Even the Tornado F3 was a shame, because it got 1 bracket where it was viable per 4 rotations. It now has 2 as it will do fine at 12.3.

Yep, France is often on redfor I find.

With the update of anti-aircraft systems above 10.7 it might be time to make real effective changes for SPAA in ASB, I made some proposals do not hesitate to propose others

did they also change the airfield AA in sim?

i couldnt test it due to there not being any sim lobbies

The maps are linked between the modes so normally the change will take place in simulation

That sounds a lot like any match that has 9.3 in it, it’s only fun for the US side, which has the F-106 and the F3H-2 Demon in it.
Not worth playing as Germany right now, as your aircraft are completely outclassed by the 106, with some absolute Charlie Uniform (You know the rest) of pilots like Spartan427 also camping the bases, while being so shit that he gets shot up by a G.91’s DEFAs on an overshoot…only survives that because the HE rounds are broken.

So in other words the 106 is an absolute noobcarrier that ruins the game for team red, alongside the HE cannon round bug.
And then also gets Charlie Uniform about it, claiming he’s just playing the game like everyone else while basecamping in an undertiered aircraft and loving the rage.
A guy who wouldn’t survive a second against anyone if his aircraft wasn’t carrying him.

I think we need an “exclude certain aircraft” option.

Edit: Yeah I have been playing my US props right now, to get my own US research done. (I do have the 106 as well, but haven’t been playing it safe for one game.)
And I can second that the Mustang, especially the P-51C is hillariously undertiered, played 3 games, 5 kills, 2 assists, 0 deaths and there was one time during the second match where I was in a high altitude 1V4 against 2 109s, one F6F-5N Hellcat and a He-100D. The only thing keeping me from murdering them was:
a) I was short on ammo only enough to damage the F6F-5N
and
b) they were actually good in not overcommitting and stalling out as well as using their numbers to keep me busy and from being able to pounce on some good situations.

But I was never really under threat.

I also set up around 3 kills for my team in the third match, plus one kill for myself.
