I don’t believe you. The radar would instantly lose lock, or lock onto chaff, but that doesn’t mean the R-27 won’t hit you.

I just think it’s unfair to be facing a plane that’s immune to IR missiles, has IFF HMD, invisible IR missiles, and that’s not a flying brick is a bit too good at 11.7.

The RWR was still screaming at me, but might have be the OP IOG.

I just htink most of these traits get blown massively out of proportion.

MAWS makes you harder to hit, but not immune to hits. Heck. ive gotten IR kills against A-10Cs and Su-25SM3s before.

IFF HMD is a very good QoL trait, I wont lie about that, but so is the IRST on the Mig-23MLD, But I rarely see that get mentioned.

Aim-9Ms are mixed. Take away the smoekless motor and they are basically just Aim-9Ls. I find the IRCCM very much hit and miss. Sometimes works great. Sometimes doesnt work at all.

It might pull well, but thats it. Its very slow. Take away the Aim-9Ms and it would be 10.7? Maybe 11.0?

Its like the FA2 being stuck at 13.0 only because it has AMRAAMs, would be 12.0 without. Maybe the A-10C would manage being 12.0, especially with 2x 12.0 brackets and a 12.3 bracket where it would do fine in now. But before. Where people wanted it at 12.3. which would have translated to 12.7 and 13.0? It would have never been touched. It would have been DOA. And yet the Su-25s would have remained at 11.7 with their R-73s, getting kills just easily.

I gave up even trying to play the Harrier Gr7 because all you did was sit on the defensive, unable to really do much, and the GR7 is stronger than the A-10C in most respects. I cant wait to be able to play it at 12.3 instead of 13.0

Definitely not. There’s a Harrier with 4 AIM-9Ms at 12.3, and it doesn’t feel very comfortable there.

I think this is the perfect plane for those who don’t know how to fly in Sim lol.

The A-10’s MAW has blind spots above and below, unlike the GR4. Shoot the A-10 while it’s turning, and its MAW won’t detect the launch.

Also the A-10 is the only aircraft that can be successfully killed with X-38 missiles from the Su-25SM3.

Yep. This is my main frame of reference with the Harrier Gr7. A-10C vs Harrier Gr7 and the Gr7 will probably always win and yet the GR7 doesnt feel overly comfortable at 12.3 at the moment and could do with a rather healthy round of buffs. (Its got plenty in the pipework)

A-10C being the same BR just because of Aim-9Ms just seems insane

Mig 29/su27 radar doesnt have a normal pulse mode, its super easy to notch them in a look up scenario with 0 chaff

In 11.7 it’s hard to find matches. Most of the time, The side where France is in the team, there are way more ppl.
I personally never join the team that faces France. And so do many. None wants to give bad players free kills. So for the team that faces, France struggles to find players.

The Event is great for the Mirages. Many new players enter SIM without knowing the Mirage problem, making them easy prey.

Ultimately I’d like to see many of these BR brackets changed and BRs moved around accordingly to where anytime one side (blu vs red) gets a significant aircraft, the other should as well, so that at no BR do you have extremely one sided lineups as you can sometimes find currently.

Apart from fixing the missing BR’s in top rotations, I think those changes would be helpful:

  • Adjust selectable country setups (BLU / RED), add more possibilities, especially also pairings which historically would make sense

OR

  • allow to select which countries should be able to participate on what side

Also important and long overdue:

  • allow players to configure time od day and weather of the room they create (random or custom)

  • randomize on which side of the maps BLU and RED spawn.

Please give us Germany/Italy/Finland(Sweden)/Japan versus USSR/USA/GB :c.

It’s so frustrating Finland is always on side of USSR when it’s like one of the most famous “minor nation vs superpower” battles of european WW2.

Hopefully includes adjusting A.I vehicles to maintain alignment, altho it’s already p bad (Germany vs USSR maps break horribly when USSR is on GER/red side already; Moresby if japan is allied). Otherwise I do love the idea. Maybe Denmark would finally be playable as axis if you dont want to get vulched on a forward airfield. (Allies have GB and UK as carrier capable, USSR is SOL buuuut… GER/ITA vs JAP is worse off.)

I think it would be best to give us the freedom to configure this ourselves.

Pairings/combinations that are unfair or not working (e.g. if one side lacks suitable aircraft in the selected BR range), would simply not be successful, and thus no issue: So someone creates a room that’s one sided, the session will probably never take off as the disadvantaged side will simply not fill up.

Similar for weather/daytime: If it doesn’t work gameplay-wise, those rooms will not be successful, so no worries.

More freedom would automatically self-regulate the sessions that way.
