Stalking my replays and doing personal attacks because you ran out of anything logical to say, are we?
I already admitted I was somewhat wrong about the plane. What more do I need to say?
My current opinion of the Me-262A-2a Sturmvogel (and by extension all Me-262A models other than the Narwhal) is that under the current setup of Air RB, they are really only able to pick off distracted opponents and bombers. The combination of brick airframe and low-velocity guns works very badly against the plane in a game mode where there is little to no ability to surprise people thanks to bright red markers and shared spotting.
And, given that the Me-262A-2a is technically a ground-attack aircraft, why wouldn’t I go kill ground units in a ground-attack aircraft? I plainly recognize the plane isn’t suited to most air-to-air combat, and am not going to frustrate myself needlessly banging my head against a wall trying to “make it work.” There are plenty of other planes which are better-suited to that task with higher-velocity guns, more ammunition, G suits, airbrakes, and better maneuverability.
I only sorta enjoyed the Me-262C-2b, but even then I plainly recognized it was merely funny, not really effective. It was funny to see people mistake me for a standard Me-262A only for me to zoom up behind them with the rocket boosters, they mistakenly assume I’m not shooting because they see no tracers and thus don’t evade, only to blow up because I was using Stealth belts. It was funny to zoom up to B-29s and take them apart, even ones at 9km up, like no other plane easily could. But in no matches did I truly feel like I was “effective” at all - just taking advantage of stupid people. And that was the “best” 262 for air-to-air. All the others are basically enemy gunfood.
I was just going off of what you said earlier. But sure…lets take a look at how you play.
Like no wonder you think these planes are bad or that you think jets vs props is balanced. This dude is going basically 1/2 your speed and is coming out of a turn. You just full commit to the head-on after beelining for ground targets. You had all of the potential in the world to energy trap him or do multiple boom and zoom passes…nope…stalled out plane…must full commit head on.
Except you do the exact same thing with every plane regardless of its intended role or not.
You are wrong about the whole entire litany of planes that you were earlier posting about. Me-163 to 7.0 BR is an absolutely deranged take. Same goes for C2B at 7.0 as well.
Down-tiering it to 7.0 would make it absolutely broken. Maybe consider that fact that other people will use it for PvP and don’t have the same issues that you do when it comes to playing the game.
Oh well man, your opinion of me is not likely something I can change, nor do I really care to bother trying. What you see is someone who has frankly given up on Air RB, but has nowhere else remotely efficient to grind out module upgrades on anything in. Perhaps one day that may change, but for the foreseeable future, I simply do not care enough to “git gud” in your terms regarding Air RB. To me, PvP has lost the luster that it once had.
And upon watching that 11-kill game, it honestly shows some resemblance to what I experienced playing the C-2b. Most of the kills the guy got in that video were either tunnel-visioned on his teammates or were dumb enough to try going vertical against a rocket plane.
I had a 4-kill game myself where I unexpectedly carried the round, where I bagged a bomb-truck F3D-1 mindlessly going for a bombing target, an idiotic Sabre who got into a low-speed turnfight with my teammates, headoning one Meteor, and then sprinting down another Meteor who tried to run away but didn’t evade since he saw no tracers from me. But in all of those cases I observed that my kills were entirely due to the stupidity of my opponents, and not really due to the plane’s strengths all that much. Very, very few planes I bagged in it were cases where I thought “yeah, only a rocket plane could have pulled that off.”
These days, I am spading out planes for use to either 1) hunt CAS in Combined Ground or 2) use as CAS and then hunt CAS after dropping ordinance. Plus more generally, it has been a long-term goal of mine to spade out all of Ranks 1-4 in all nations, and I’m more than 80% of the way to that, counting both planes and tanks. Only WW2-era jets really interest me.
For props, the only tech tree ones I have left to kit out are the Dutch copy-pastes for France and a handful of copy-pastes for Sweden, France, and Britain.
All the miserable 262s are done with, including the Kikka which surprisingly wasn’t quite as godawful as I expected. Now onto the R2Y2s.
SU34 to go 13.3 it has no plase in 13.7 its worse than the prumium Su30 only it has 2 more missiles but no HMD or move all the 14.3 to 14.7 and decompress all the top tier
Upon seriously starting to play the R2Y2s, I find those very much are similar to the likes of 6.7-7.3 aircraft. They do not accelerate well. They maneuver well enough. They compress hard over about 800kph, and at 8.0 they’re fighting stuff which exceeds that in level flight routinely.
But as ground attack aircraft they’re quite nice. So many exploded bot T-44/100s, it’s not even funny.
