Proposed Battle rating changes for Air Realistic/Simulator: **Working list**

  • if you would like to add to this, please format your responses as I had setup the list By: Nation, Lowest to highest BR, and Gamemode!

This list is created by:
1. Vehicle effectiveness
2. What the vehicle may see as opposition
3. It’s capabilities

USA:

Sabre family
All Air RB

  • F-86A-5: 8.0 → 8.3
  • F-86F-25/35: 8.3 → 8.7
  • F-86F-2: 8.7 → 9.0

F-111A
ARB: Stay 10.7 but remove AIM-9B, add AIM-9E stock, and add researchable AIM-9J
AIM-9B at 10.7. Absolutely ridiculous.

F-4E ASB 10.7→11.0
Has no business fighting Mig19 and other 9.7s

F/A-18A ASB (all nations)
12.3→12.7
Insane how this thing has always stayed at 12.3 especially seeing how Redfor doesn’t even have a dedicated fighter at this BR

A-10C 11.7→12.0 ASB
Has an HMD IFF and the only plane in the game with it, an extremely high cm count, a MAW, and 4x Aim-9m which are the best FnF IR aam in sim. It has a very low heat profile, and great turn time with a mass amount of ordinance it has access to. All for the one con of being slow.

F-16A 12.3 → 12.0 ASB
Being the worst F-16 in the game, it currently sits at a similar br as other F-16s i believe that has Pythons, Aim-9ms, etc, meanwhile the F-16A only gets 6x aim-9Ls, and no long range capability.

Germany:

MiG-15bis
ARB: 8.3 → 8.7
Undertiered. Very strong already compared to current 8.7s.

Lim-5P
ARB: 8.7 → 9.0
Undertiered. Very strong compared to other 8.7 & 9.0s.

F-104G
ARB: 11.0 → 10.7
Weak compared to existing 11.0s, let alone 10.7s.

Russia:

MiG-15/17 family
All Air RB

  • MiG-15bis: 8.3 → 8.7
  • MiG-15bis-ISH: 8.0 → 8.7 - Minimal performance hit from the MiG-15bis. Closer to bis than MiG-15.
  • MiG-17PF: 8.7 → 9.0

MiG-23 MLD ASB
11.3→11.7
same as the J7E, too unbalanced to stay at it’s current BR

Su-27/ Su-33 13.3→13.0
Inline with the other 13.0s in terms of capabilities, and shouldn’t be at the same BR as the J11A and Su30MK2.

Britain:

UK Phantom Family
All Air RB

  • FG.1: 12.0 → 11.7
  • FGR.2: Add AIM-9L and leave at 12.0
  • F-4J(UK): 12.0 – >11.3… OR …add AIM-9L and leave at 12.0

The 12.0 range is horribly compressed right now, but these would be a good start. Could also make the argument of adding SuperTEMP to the FGR.2, but then it would be better than the Tornado F.3. There is no way it should go up to 12.3 though.

China:

J-2
ARB: 8.3 → 8.7
MiG-15bis equivalent. Currently undertiered along with most Sabres & MiG-15/17 variants.

Shenyang F-5:
ARB: 9.3 → 9.0
Similar flight model to MiG-17PF, Lim-5P. Two PL-2s aren’t worth a BR bump.

F-104G
ARB: 10.7 → 10.3/10.0 - no flares, fewer missiles than the F-104J. Maybe move to 10.3 and adjust down from there if it still struggles.

J-7D
ARB: 10.7 → 11.0
Performance between the MiG-21MF & bis, but best-in-class missiles even though they are only rear-aspect. It is only at 10.7 to milk the disposable income of the large Chinese playerbase. Abused by skilled players and low skilled players alike. Blatantly undertiered.

J7E ASB
11.0→11.3
Pretty self explanatory, It sealclubs everything with Little to no effort which makes it basically the rafale of 11.0

JH-7 (& premium version)
ARB: 11.3 → 11.7
Missiles and flight model are definitely way too strong for 11.3.

J11 13.3→13.0
Inline with the other 13.0s in terms of capabilities, and can’t be at the same BR as the J11A and Su30MK2

Italy:

F-104G
ARB: 11.0 → 10.7
Weak compared to existing 11.0s and 10.7s. Only 2 missiles.

F-104S:
ARB: 11.3 → 11.0
This is seriously higher than the MiG-21bis family and the F-4EJ???

F-104S.ASA
ARB: 12.0 → 11.7
Compared to the 11.3 F-4E, it has slightly better missiles but lower number. It has better top speed at low altitude, similar acceleration, and much worse maneuverability. Comparable missiles to 11.3 F-5E FCU with much worse flight model. 11.7 is a good start, but 11.3 could be justified.

Japan:

R2Y2 Family
ARB: 8.0 → 7.3 for all

Just because Gaijin have removed these and are pretending they don’t exist doesn’t mean they can’t adjust them. They intentionally gave players a month to grind them after first notice, plus many have used them for a decade. They have also been adjusting other removed vehicles like the Coelian as well as rare/unobtainable vehicles like the Ro.57 Quadriarma

France:

F4U-7 (France)
ARB: 6.0 → 5.7
No reason for this to be 0.3 above the F4U-4B with a worse flight model now that Ground BRs are separate.

NF-5A
ARB: 10.7 → 11.0
The raw performance actually exceeds the F-5E flight model at almost all altitudes in WT. It also has equivalent armament to the 11.0 E models. Doesn’t deserve 11.3, but it is, again, intentionally undertiered to capture that premium money. Closer to 11.0 F-5E than 10.7 F-5C.

F16A OCU (belgian squadron vehicle)
ASB 12.7→13.0
seeing how this thing Is literally better than the belgian F16A at 13.0 but somehow Is 0.3 lower, makes It a blatant cash grab

Low tier props- i15s are some really fun turny bois, some of the better ones
Mid to high tier props- got some of the best if not the best props in the yak 1/3/9 family
Early jets- su-11… need I say more?
Korean era jets- mig15bisish is at a disgustingly undertiered br, so is stuff like the yak 30d or la15 in sim… OP as hell
Early super sonic- like they’re quite good, look at stuff like the mig19 pt which is one of the best dog fighters at 9.7/9.3… or su-7 at 9.0 is disgusting
Mid SuperSonics- mig21smt is quite good at 10.3, so is the bis at 11.0. Mig-23 mld is also the best 11.7 in the game and really needs to go up to 12.0. And in sim mode at 11.3 it’s insanity there, same with the J7e/jh7.
Early fourth gens- mig-29 is quite mediocre, but the yak 141 more than makes up for it by being one of if not the best 12.7 in sim or arb.
13.0- flanker, best 13.0 in the game imo
13.3- su-30mk2, second best 13.3 in the game after j11a
13.7- best 13.7 in the game with the su27sm with its insane missile loadout
14.3- second best plane in the entire game with su-30sm

All f16 netz and such should go down in br, it doesnt make sense only aim9l/p3 against irccm and aim7.

Also the kfir c10 in grb

here’s a random list of planes that have been on my mind for a while

j-11a >13.3 - 13.7 sim/arb - quite easily best 13.3 in the game, 6 r77s on a good flight model that allows for quick notches and r77 is second best missile for close dogfighting. along with having maws makes it really easy to tell when you’ve notched a missile

su-27sm > 13.7 - 14.3 (arb) - also quite easily the best 13.7 vehicle in the game, literally just a better j-11a flight model and can easily hang with the best 14.0s and worst 14.3s.

su-30mk2 > 13.3-13.7 sim/arb - same reasoning as j-11a, though worse rwr for arb although it is digital which is a slight plus.

su-27s/j-11/su-33> 13.0 - 13.3 (arb) - theyre the best 13.0s in the game, r-27er is such a nasty missile in arb

gripen a > 13.0-13.3 (sim) - second best 13.0 in sim currently, infinite cms as well as being able to just 9m slinging. pair it with an utterly baby fm and good radar it easily deserves to be 13.3

f-2 > 13.0-13.3 (sim)- best 13.0 in sim, even better fm than grippy though not as hand holdy, but it simply has a better missile kit (7ms and aam3s) as well as having an aesa radar

su-27s/j-11> 13.3 - 13.0 (sim) - they’re worse than grippy and f-2 for sim, and their mid dog fighting performance renders them pretty mid in sim if you go against good players in a good plane

f-14a> 12.3 - 12.7 (sim) - this thing terrorizes 12.3 days, it just eats up red side zombers with its phoenixes and amazing fm. red side has no counter to this

fa-18a> 12.3 -12.7 (arb/sim) - insanely good flight performance as well as having a good mprf radar as well as 2-4 7ms and 2 - 6 9ls depending on loadout. deserves to be 12.7 easily with the other fa18c earlies.

mig-23mld/j-7e/jh7 > 11.0/11.3 - 11.7/12.0 (sim) - 2 of the 3 have insanely good flight performances that just forces them to be higher imo, and the jh7 gets pl5e2 missiles on a good air frame. mig 23 mld baby flight model that just needs to rate everything, and j7e big baby flight model where it both out rates and one circles everything lmao, that thing needs to be 12.0 minimum

mig15bisish - from 8.0 to 8.3
150kg more weight and a tiny bit of drag cant excuse why this should fight 262’s

su7 - 9.0 to 9.3
literally untouchable even in a small downtier,
nobody ever asked it to go down in the first place!

F-16A: 12.3 → 12.0

At 12.3 it has same br as the Hornet, except this one has Aim-7 sparrows, and f16a only Aim-9L.

F-16A Netz: 12.7 → 12.0

Same as the american one, no radar missiles and the python 3 having more G overload its not enough to be at higher br bc of no IRCCM (not like r73 at higher br than aim9m anyways).

Also both planes at uptier face planes with aim120 and IRCCM planes, totally unfair.

i completely disagree
the solution is to go up in br, not down, since it will only lead to more compression
raise the hornets up, don’t lower the falcons

Yeah but the post doesnt tell anything about a higher max br so the reasonable choise its to make f16 in lower br.

Not like F-16 its op at 12.0 anyways.

NO! this is simply a bad decision, literally how gaijin been doing balancing this whole time (this is how we got 8.0 sabres and migs lmao)

how would a 11.0 plane even fight the f16

some things around the F16A at 12.3 need to go up its fine where it is like mig 21 bison for example and the SU30MK2 and all 13.3 fox -3spammers F14s not included as AIM-54 is a paper weight

It’s strange you didn’t list the ariete, A7M2, or P-39N as vehicles that need to change at all. Given your nearly 6.0 kd in one of them…

But these ^ seem a bit odd.

Su-27SM being 14.3 in arb is insane.

SU-27SM in sim is fine as is.

Su-33 in sim is honestly bad, and should be a 13.0
