Ironic
based on the fact the r77-1 got a 20% increase in total specific impulse and to my knowledge no major motor reworks were done to make that possible for comparison the aim120a to the c-5 is like 7-9% more total specific impulse

I highly agree. I don’t get how people say so often that Sparrows are broken. I’ve played almost all 7F and 7M carriers and had no issues with the Sparrows. The times it seemingly went bonkers can be counted with one hand.
I’ve extensively played the F-4S and it took me from rank 5 all the way to rank 8 for my first top tier and I didn’t have nowhere near as many issues as people claim to have with Sparrows.
That’s all fox 3s at top tier even the micas.
After finally getting radar missiles and getting my F-4J K/D positive, I gotta disagree.
The F-4J’s radar is very good and for the most part very predictable. Unless I’m fighting a Mirage or MiG-23, it is very fast to lock.
I’ve found myself able to run head first into multiple enemies and still come out on top simply cause I can lock faster than them, which means I can launch faster than them, which means they explode first and their Fox-1 stops guiding.
Now, as for the Aim-7F however, I 100% agree that it is abysmal dogshit. I don’t understand how Gajin managed to make it worse than the Aim-7E-2, however the Aim-7E-2 itself is one of the best missiles in WT, so you’re not exactly handicapped by being limited to it.
