I disagree personally. Slightly better notch helps with the mica because of close range. Mica is still very easy to notch even from 15km out

Excluding the mica, I also find the R-77 the hardest to notch for some reason. G limit has nothing to do with it. Maybe they have different IOG behaviour.
I dont think there is much of a difference in that regard actually. At least I think they have the exact same IOG.
R-77-1s definetly have a notably better Time to Target which reduces the amount of time you have to effectively notch
R-77 I think its a combo of much bigger warhead I think. Meaning close hits do a lot more damage.
Though they also pull more G, so they are far harder to defeat at short ranges. I’ve had a Rafale kinematically defeat an Aim-120C5 at like 6-7km head on shot before. You wouldnt be able to do the same against a MICA or R-77
I am referring to those situations where you are notching the missile and try to bait it with chaff, the missile itself isn’t pulling much since it is flying more or less straight on the interception path, its just that the R-77/R-77-1 seems more persistent than the rest (mica is obviously king)
