Why doesn’t the AH-64D have an agm-144L, even if they have an RLGSN, why can’t the guidance principle be like that of a spike or pars (infrared). Because helicopters with hellfire are now unplayable against air defense systems, ka-52 and even against eurocopter.
Because Gaijin has determined that mmV is WAY too OP to ever be added to the game and it would be totally unfair to add them with a placeholder guidance method. Meaning we are limited to 1980s 8km range hellfires whilst most other nations get FnF AGMs on their helis like spike and pars
Last thing america needs is this. Picture this and f16c being spammed at the same time, you can’t counter it at all in the ground. Might as well have NPCs play as tanks
youre wrong.
And what can the US do to deal with a Su-34 spamming KH-38s or a Ka-52 firing Vikhrs?
Spawn an f16c. Su34 I have no idea how it will play out so I wont comment on that. Ka-52 which I’ve used extensively: The airspace is so oversatured with Cas and other planes to the point I’ve spent most of my time in the zone combating them instead of MBTs. Also vikhr overall anti mbt performance is weird, abrams are the easiest targets you can one shot, then most other MBTs and any MBT with active protection is usually a no go. Point is, you will spend more time dealing with planes, instead of tanks
So?
Why is the answer to how to deal with a AH-64D with FnF hellfires any different to the answer to deal with a Tiger firing PARS or AH-60 firing Spike?
Or how is the answer to dealing with an Su-34 any different to the answer to dealing with a F-16C?
If the answer is spawn an F-16C then why is the answer not “Spawn a Su-27SM or Su-34?” Especially considering the Pantsir is 3x better than the ADATS.
Nope. You are.
Take it with gaijins logic. My point is stacking the already most overpower CAS nation even more is a bad idea. It’s already annoying to play MBTs
Smoke being able to block IR Seekers vs not being able to block the radar seekers is something that is only going to matter about 5% of the time. Every other time the target doesnt know there is a missile coming until it actually hits them. And if you know a missile is coming you are better of getting solid cover in both cases. As the smoke wont physically block the missile and you can be killed by a lucky impact or by splash damage if its a bigger missile.
They should just add the mmW radar fire and forget mode to the Brimstone and give the Apache its Hellfire Ls.
I agree. Though I fear the Su-34 will take the lead by a considerable margin going forward and meanwhile US and Britain have by far some of the weakest helis at top tier and one of the weakesr top tier spaas in game
Maybe the fact that they are lock on after launch capable (automatic) is what they are falling away from? I mean, a heli, that can just fire 16 hell fires, without having to guide or even lock, and they do it automatically, might be a bit OP, 16 kills at a time?
Bit exaggerated I know but, same situation as Brimstones, 6KH38 is not 6 guaranteed kills never mind they need to lock.
and get 0 frags? wow good result
16 hellfires into one pantsir/etc, sure.
as they still might lock same targets.
yes, lock ground and then, if smth will be in seeker - it will track target.
But same with KH38, you can give it guide, it just prevents any chance of getting killed by SPAA, cause there is 0 chance the missile gets you before you duck back into cover.
suffering from making more advanced missiles then just using IR guidance
Britain Japan Israel and US can also get Hellfire L
so, i don’t see the problem since not only US using it
well, first - you need to find a target.
With more heli counterparts I don’t see too much issue, although its real combat efficiency is what should be discussed, how effective is the lock for instance. I mean if counterparts like CM501/2 (not the 506KG) which have similar capabilities are added then I think perfectly acceptable.
Why, the mmW radar will do the job for you after launch, if done correctly on a run of 50 Russian tanks in a desert.
im not sure that you can fire hellfire without point of interest normally
