Add yugoslav tech tree

One of the most iconic WWII vehicles is hardly the same as a generic T55 with an additional armor panel somewhere claiming it’s a unique modification and justifies it’s own techtree.

Strawmanning.
Nobody here is claiming a tree should be added for a single modification, it is the collective qualities of having unique options for aviation and ground in all tiers and being able to make good lineups.

But fine, I’ll entertain you.
To take T-55AI as an example, why would it be more “generic” than the Firefly?
Is it the new engine? The improved FCS? Perhaps we aren’t fond of additional armor?
Much the same case for M-55S. New cannon, new armor, new FCS.
Tanks based on foreign vehicles that alter the playstyle a fair amount. No different from the Sherman Firelfly and the tank it is based on.

You speak in double standards with the arbitrary argument of one being iconic and the other being generic, but realistically this just shows how little you have invested into looking at the qualities a Yugoslav tree could provide.

Firefly is one of the most iconic allied tanks, it’s seen as the tiger killer. If you see that the same as a T-55 mod most of the world didn’t even hear about, ok.

Like i said, they have some intersting vehicles, mostly the wheeled ones.
But in my opinion they could use them to flesh out lacking tech trees rather than force a yugoslavion tech tree which in the end will consist of a large amount of tanks which we already have.

And im really against every nation getting everything, it just makes the game more boring.
You want play tigers, play germany. T55, play ussr and so on.

a lot of people say “muh copy paste” here and there but are completely quiet and happy when it benefits them

I don’t see where copy paste would benefit me.

The issue is that Yugoslavia would have too much options to be relegated haphazardly to other trees as well as vehicles that have no place elsewhere, such is the case with the Lazar family for example.

Whether a vehicle is iconic or not shouldn’t matter to weighting whether it’s a worthwhile addition.
Performance matters: is it different enough?
I find that many vehicles one might consider copy paste are.
M-84A may look like another T-72 for example, but it’s most major modification is the 1000hp engine.
At the approximated BR of 9.7 you could have a weaker armored but much faster alternative to T-72B accompanied by unique IFVs such as BVP M-80AB1 and unique SPAA such as S10CRO A1, with domestic CAS options to boot.

Missed opportunity if relegated to others.

How said, i am against it.
Leos against Leos, T80 against T80 and whatever is jut boring.

It’s still a T72 and looks exactly like one. Doesn’t matter if it moves 5 km/h faster.

They could for example integrate the unique vehicles into the italian tree since they seem to get eastern europe stuff.

That is a very disingenuous way of framing it.
It’s the difference of 18hp/t and 22hp/t.
M-84A would have more hp/t than Abrams, it would be one of the most mobile MBTs in the game (excluding reverse speed).
Bias shows.

Regardless, Yugoslavia is one of the few countries that made a serious amount of domestic military aircraft, from props to modern jets (and yes, I’m talking about fully domestic).
That alone gives it big reason to be added independently. Combine that with the aforementioned unique lineups and you have a recipe for a good tree.

“a generic T55 with an additional armor panel somewhere”

Really?

I was talking about the AI.
But even yours, it’s still a T55 with a layer of armor panels. Nothing new.

It literally has a completely reworked breech housing an upgraded Western 105mm, with a completely new FCS, and a completely domestic armor package.

Are you taking the piss?

All of their modern derivatives have upgraded engines, transmissions, fire control systems, domestic ERA and domestic weapons control stations, and new armor arrays.

NOT EVEN MENTIONING all the COMPLETELY DOMESTIC BOV/BVP/LAZAR IFVs with various different versions that have different roles. (Literally over 10 of these spanning various BRs and roles, from SPAA to IFV to tank destroyer - this is just 3 examples).

You’re absolutely delusional.

AI still have a far superior engine and upgraded FCS.
A much more mobile T-55 is fundamentally different gameplay wise from the original product. Your argument still doesn’t hold up.

So it’s still a T72, thanks for making my point.
If you think different ERA and engine is a game changer and it makes it a new tank i don’t know who is delusional.

And i already said the wheeled vehicles and IFV are cool and should be added.

Then you would agree Sherman Firefly is copy paste?
It’s only a Sherman with a different engine and gun after all /s

Bro leave me alone with your firefly.

Im not against yu vehicles. But i think, if they would get their own tech tree a huge amount of vehicles needed to flesh out the tree would be the exact or near same as we already have. Engine/FCS upgrades don’t count.

Ok - so you didn’t actually read the thing that you literally quoted. Thanks for clarifying.

We already talked about this, i don’t like going in circles.
