The only issues I’ve had with the MLA is that godawful rwr and the stock grind.

My main issue is the lack of IFF on Spo-10 because it means that any radar can show as a lock even if you aren’t actually locked by an enemy.
I don’t have R-24Rs on the MLA yet, but it seems like a promising plane.
they should add aim-120 too it or add the aim-7m/aim-7p and add aim-9L/m too it
I don’t think that would be fair for 12.7 jets honestly. They won’t give R-73 to MiG-29 because it’s 12.7

I know what your link says, but I don’t think it’s accurate unless this was a one off modication, and if it was, it shouldn’t represent the aircraft as a whole. Also, what BR do you think it would end up at? It would not stay 12.0.
It would go up in BR with these too, what BR would you want it at?

thats an unfair comparisson to be honest, the mig29 has a good-decent fm and an hmd paired with r73 and r27er, meanwhile you have a phantom without hmd, and aim7ms, theyre still aim7s and its still a phantom. the aam3 would make it way more effective and interesting, the brs state wont change much you will still get sucked into 13.0 and considering youd have the same loadout as the F15J which fm and performance overall is infinitely better at 0.3 higher is fair imo

have you actually used it and compared it towards other gen4s? it usually loses. The FM was butchered heavily since it was released into WT.

sure, but 2x as many radar missiles and AAM3s are just as good as R73 overall
but the EJ KAI doesnt, why would the f4s get aam3s? again the F4 Kai with AAM3s at 12.7 would be fine, it would still get beaten by almost every other jet at the same br the only difference it would make is that it would actually be more interesting to play and way more consistent to get results in. And using only 1v1 performance as indicator for br balance is horrible thinking, its way easier to get results in the mig29 than any 12.7 F16, you have 2 insanely reliable SARH missiles with an hmd and 4 semi useable all aspect missiles, the slight edge in fm that the F16 has over the mig is diminishing in the grand scheme of things that is Air rb
I minced words, some ppl here are advocating for F-4S to get 9M and some are advocating for F-4EJ Kai to get AAM3
also yes i spaded 2 mig29 and the am playing the mig29g atm, i also spaded the f16adf and the a mlu and i can confidently say id take the mig29 any day over the F16, the other 4 gens are irrelevant here since theyre rightfully so above in br. almost forgot the F18C early which is way better than the F16 but id still take the mig over it, the only real downside of the mig is the rwr, countermeassures are identical, armament wise id say the mig is more potent due to hmd and the r27er and r60m, F18 and F16 lack hmd, the sparrows are a pain to use and the aim9s also are lackluster without hmd when facing anything above your br
im not saying overpowered, just saying questionable when they wont give irccm to anything else at this br that would want it like mig29 (mig29 not getting r73 is like f14 not getting aim54, they were made to be used together)
If by results you mean 1 kill then yeah, R27ERs arent infailable and after the r27er you are out of options as far as actually being scary to any degree
the f4s should in all honesty just move to 12.3 without changing anything, the mig23 is argueably the same since your radar doesnt really matter, the r24r has a doppler filter and still kill stuff in a full notch while the radar is locked to chaff (by the same i mean moving it to 12.0)
I agree it’s the best 12.0 but it can’t be 12.3 under current compression. Mirage 2K and F-16 live there.
it only kills notching ppl if they dont change alt to dodge IOG guidance, but what I want to rly say here is that mig23 isnt good enough for 12.0 overall with its incredibly poor RWR and general issues like requiring to use wing sweep to effectively dogfight and the radar that still matters
