f4s and mig23ML are pretty good at 12.0, especially for other nations pack, like British or Japan, I don’t have any idea to against them when they are in full down-tier, its like a disaster, F4s can launch 7F with PD radar far from 10km, and the only thing you can do is keep low alt until crash, consider most of 11.0-11.3 aircraft even doesn’t have PD radar or BVR missiles, its better to add aim9L to F4S, same reason with MIG23ML, after fixed the radar issue, it should be 12.0

Although yes the F-4S, more specifically the later serving ones with better radars and weaponry, did indeed equip the Aim-9L, the F-4S represented ingame purposely lacks such capability and likely won’t receive it anytime in the future. It’s not needed as the F-4S preforms beyond well thanks to its kit.
As for the MiG-23M/ML/MLD series, from what I’ve seen that’s unfortunately just how the radar worked IRL, and nothing will be done in regards to the usage of the MTI radar mode.
I said it and I’m saying it again, It’s not about OP or not, but choices for the players. I’m certain a ton of players like F4s because it uses the best SARH missile on its tier, giving it a better IR missile and raise its BR essentially makes it played differently which takes away choices from the players.
So no I don’t think it’s a good idea, but I do agree F4S is busted and there should be something done about it. Imho that’s again the same problem of BR compression, take a look for a fact that the F4EJ kai is at 12.3 with 4 Aim9L and 4 Aim7F, plus same radar and RWR on F16, remember it is 0.3 above F4S so there’s no room to move F4S higher. The solution thus will aways be decompressing the BR on this range. So if you have the motivation to call for some change here on the forum, I’d say BR decomp is always the way to go.
Also, I suggest you to learn techniques of dodging missile beyond just staying low, search up for notching, beaming etc.

I’m not opposed to getting the AIM-9L, but if Navy Phantom is going to get it, then British Phantom should get it too.

The key reason is that compared to F4s AIM7s, skyflash is like a joke, if you have F4J(UK), which is totally worse than F4s, even the fly performance.

I have heard that the MIG23ML’s radar is not automatically changed, especially from PD to SRC.
Unless you can provide primary or secondary sources and submit bug reports, nothing is changing.
