When we’re in battles with aircraft like the A-10, Su-25, and Su-39 variants, the game becomes an absolute slog. The distance between the spawn point and the targets for bombing or ground units is so vast that by the time everyone else has left the game and returned to the lobby, we’ve barely made it halfway across the map. This really needs to be addressed. Either create a separate matchmaking queue for subsonic planes or give these aircraft a different spawn point so they can reach the battle area in a reasonable amount of time. Please consider this.
The implementation of these aircraft into the game was very lazy and not very thought out.
No, it’s just that the RB meta is not suited at all for those attackers, who are very much in their element in Sim EC.
So exactly what I said
No, you said the implementation was lazy and not very thought out. Some vehicles just are better or worse suited for some game modes, that doesn’t mean the implementation is at fault.
Or, to turn this around: How would you do it differently?
I would change the spawn, shortening the distance to the battlefield would be enough anyway.
You can choose to either simply not add the problematic planes that don’t fit in air RB (you seem to think they are simply bad, the early ones are both oppressive in downtiers and useless in uptiers), or do the proper thing and actually fix the ancient gamemode to work with modern day gameplay.
Those jets are more suited for GRB, and not so much for ARB.
I tried the A-10 in Air RB, although it can win some fights when it gets a chance to fight, it can’t keep up with the rest of the team sooo matches are sometimes over before we get action.
Doesn’t solve the problem in ARB but try those out in sim, can be pretty fun.
That goes for literally most new additions that have ever been added lol, this game is very poorly made from a game design perspective
the frogfoot is fine. it’s fast enough
The aviation techtree provides vehicles for several game modes. I don’t have to fly them all in one mode. Personally I never thought like this. There are a lot of planes I will never touch. Or there are planes I thought I could have fun with, spaded them, and after spading I never touch again. But this isn’t a problem to me. There are enough planes in every nation for me.
