A heads up on a bug with multipathing/ground terrain on Vietnam

I’d be more willing to learn if Gaijin didn’t punish me more making mistakes.

What is wrong with that?

You also didn’t adress my other point, because this is a bug. Flying low isn’t just a thing that happens at top tier, and it’s unfair to screw over lower BR players because you dislike something top tier players do.

Gen Z isn’t even that young anymore lmao

GenZ can be as old as 29 now.

In what world are invisible objects not a bug that isn’t even a good was to prevent botscripts lmao

conspiracy based in nothing, its a bug that you can ram invisible trees.

its actually a pretty good way to detect them …fly low and try to stay 15 ft off the deck and count how many seconds it takes for a tree that wasnt in front of you to appear my guess is about 3 seconds … And the tree will usually standout as in its way taller or a different type than surrounding foliage

ok mate play a couple games then keep track of the guys that die by crashing not the takeoff crashers but those guys that crash after…( yes in what world would you waste your time watching bad players crash on replays) you might understand then

I genuinely can not tell what your point is here, and it seems massively off topic.

Just as much as your post is …I was trying to explain why trees dont render or render at random in front of you and its because its a bot script check

Oh my lord the irony, i didn’t even complain I just pointed out the bug existed so ppl would know lmao

Then this should be fixed. Wdym ? The thread is literally about said “bot check” , it is something that is not welcomed in the game , why would i want stuff to appear or straight up invisible in front of me when I am flying. This is something worth discussing , if you can’t contribute anything beside “MP bad get good” Then you shouldn’t join the convo at all

invisible trees aren’t broken

Using console means nothing.

Go buy a KB/Mouse and come back.

It may be biased but, I don’t understand why these ppls doesn’t use KB/Mouse even the game side support them.

Also, they are ways cheapers comparate to consoles.

One of problem is some trees in the game has different colisions.

They are very inconsistent.

Case in point, I’d ran away from a very bad outnumbered engagement after getting my horizontal stabs blackened in a rank 3 plane by diving down to the deck and flying at tree top level. While Sim and not ARB, flying hugging the ground/treetops kind of makes you invisible to enemies especially if they expected you to crash and don’t want to lose altitude to find you.

Fortunately I’m yet to run into broken trees on the maps I usually play, but given Sim EC and ARB maps are the same and simply the play area/objectives get modified in some cases… Not looking forward to flying my planes around on the vietnam map.

There’s absolutely no reason not to make the terrain and environmental objects’ hitboxes actually match their visual models to a reasonable level (obviously nobody wants each individual branch of a tree to be modelled as it’s not very relevant)

Yeah this isn’t just Vietnam map only anymore , been getting some invisible tree on Southern City as well. This seem to be a bigger problem than just one map exclusive

its not a bug its literally a new feature forcing you to actually FLY your jet not drive it like it needs wheels welcome to the new world where flying 6ft off ground is risky…

This has to be some actually good bait or something but I’ll humor you and act like it isn’t, what proof do you have of this lmao

dummy
Conspiracy theory vs maybe gaijin just messed up a few tree hitboxes, take your pick

This is such a lame thing to say about War Thunder… of course it’s a game, everyone knows that, however It is a SIMULATOR GAME - with many levels of “realism” to choose from.

The game is in the different tactics to use with the various strengths and weaknesses. A large portion of the fun (for many people) is the Asymmetric nature the battle.

The same proof yours is observational …
