Being worth it or not doesn’t stop people from spawning them if nothing else is available.
2S38 has millions of games logged in and taking that data definitely shows you a bigger picture.
What you used in your opening post and the effects of those pros/cons are also subjective.

I haven’t seen many T-80UDs or TURMSTs in 12.0, for example, unlike 2S38s…
If nothing else is available? I see plenty of other vehicles that make for a solid lineup. The rdf that I take in at 12.0 fills the same role of tank support vehicle. But it’s a 1.7 difference compared to its counter part…

Maybe in the tech tree, but for the top tier premium spammers / grinders (especially those that are starting a new nation), they won’t really have any other reasonable options… @MotorolaCRO hence the 2S38 spam at top tier.

He misunderstood the point I was suggesting (I probably should’ve elaborated more), so I can’t really blame him.
I’ve seen pretty much all 10.3/10.7 premiums being used as 2nd or 3rd spawn, depending how many TT vehicles do they have to spawn before those premiums come in line.

Quite possibly. I have been playing a lot of HSTV-L + AH-64E and M1A1 + YAH-64 currently, so I probably haven’t really noticed them other than the 2S38s trying to shoot my AH-64E / YAH-64…
Could just be confirmation bias but I genuinely think there’s definitely more 2S38s (probably to take down helis, or to scout) being spawned at top tier than lower tier premium MBTs.

The rdf sits in the same br as the premium clickbait. What new vehicle do you think new players are going to buy, the rdf or the mbt? So who do you think buys the rdf? Most likely the people that have played through the tech tree, unlocked the hstvl, realized it has good rat potential then buys the rdf. So automatically a higher level of skill, that drives its stats in a positive direction even though it lacks the much of what the hstvl offers.
Then we have the 2s38. A vehicle that has more intrinsic capabilities but is bought by new users? Who’ve probably seen that there is a whole 10.3 lineup and decided to buy it which’s drives its stats down due to lower level of skill. This does not mean it’s a bad tank, it simply means the player driven data is skewed by varying player skill levels.
This is how you make a subjective argument btw. Using facts within the subjective narrative. Y’all should take note. 😉

Shame SS doesn’t give us separated stats for vehicle’s BR only matches.
Nothing indicates that premium vehicles perform worse than their TT copies because they’re operated by new users.

Realistically never going to happen, 10.3 RU is an insane amount of income for Gaijin, and tbh the 2S38 doesn’t deserve to go up, its fine.
I give you conclusion i have skipped most parts that are repetition of past topics.
People bringing 2S38 to top tier is not an argument for it beeing OP.
Russia doesn’t have a top tier light tank. You can chose between BMP2M, 2S38 or Sprut, which are all far from top tier.
And i will take the Sprut in most Situations over the 2S38.
