I think I checked the other day, the HSTVLs hull needs 1degree of extra tilt to achieve 100% bounce and the turret needs an extra 14deg for 100% bounce. it has -15deg gun depression… its at least theoretically possible for it to engage you while hull down at an angle that makes it un-killable.
Now of course you can still HE its optics and gun barrel and over pressure it, but its harder than with the big ammo box with -5deg depression.

This is the N thread of yet another US-main, in this case a noob US-main, that whant to explain his skill issue by useing the common “punching bag” - a famost russian premium vehicle. Using the average of player data on how well a vehicle is doing instead on the intrinsic capabilities of that particular vehicle is an injustice imo.
A very poor way of deciding how to place these vehicles.
I don’t disagree, but it is what we have. And unfortunately premiums, unless they have an exact tech tree counterpart to compare them to will generally have a lower BR then they would as TT vehicles due to their accessibility to less experienced players, and the more powerful the premium, the more it attracts those players… well with some exceptions…

This was 4 separate games not just 4 in one game, uptiers are cancer right now, yes the average players that just buy these and hold W are a factor given that the vehicle itself is in a main nation, stats can be skewed given the sheer playtime these vehicles get but put these in the hands of an experienced player they excel, kind of like the clickbait syndrome i.e the tank itself is good but the players driving them genuinely suck most of the time
Admittedly i don’t play russia that much so other than owning one along with the other premiums from that br range for when or if i do decide to finish off my russian tree ready to go i’m definitely not an expert with them but they’re ok when i do play them and given the experience i have with the other 6 nations i’ve ground out completely and their light vehicles the 2s38 is just a severely undertiered vehicle and given the recent br increases across other nations for top tier decompression means this vehicle is now less likely to see more powerful vehicles as where they used to sit are now empty gaps unless they’re being purposefully uptiered which i do see in high tier games as well.
