Good thing we aren’t looking at just shell performance. I’ve said many times before, yes the 2S38 should go up. It’ll never be bad so it can go up a lot if Gaijin wanted to. I still don’t think its blatantly overpowered at 9.3
You can oneshot it in the turret. Its hulldown ability is basically nothing, you can fire APFSDS or low-caliber APDS straight into the turret and kill it in one shot. I’ve one shot it in the Type 89, Type 10/TKX, Type 90 and Type 16 (probably more) just from APFSDS/APDS to the turret. I’ve not been able to onetap it with the Bushmaster on the Type 25 but its not too hard to twotap.
Again, I’m not saying the 2S38 isn’t strong. It is, it should move up. Its still not a game-breaking balances upsetting blatantly overpowered vehicle. I agree with all of your points on shell performance, but that doesn’t mean its blatantly overpowered, or as the original person I was replying to said, “seriously undermining the games balance”.

Already lackluster? Only according to u buddy. The 2S38 has a great apfsds shell, and a good fire rate, I have no clue why it was ever 10.3 judging as the hstvl is 12.0
What are u smoking, I want some of it. The Abrams can get frontally penned by the 2S38, Russian mbs are the only thing that could survive against it.

Unlocked essentially everything at Sweden, US tech trees (some “newer” ~BR 6-8 vehicles they added way after I unlocked the entire tech trees both ground and air I don’t have) and have USSR at 11.7 Ground and 14.3 Air… The discrepancy in performance is fucking insane.
Both playing as the 2S38 and against… that thing, just to talk about that one vehicle - can frontally destroy MBTs. THAT is insane. It’s supremely good against anything flying (and they don’t even have a clue they’re fired upon)… It can fill any role, and do it well. It’s not a specialist, but using it right it’s amazing. Comparing it to top tier 12.0 US light tanks is fair, with a little bit less Oomph but more versatility than most of them.
Yes “skill”. I sure do love playing my 12.7 Leclerc and suddenly 500m in front a 2S38 drives out of a bush and just easily goes through my UFP. Skill issue indeed should have sideclimbed
