Kinda, we all know it’s best effort to try and achieve as close to accurate as possible while trying to achieve some level of balance. That isn’t easy to they have to take liberties.
The HSTVL does not have 310 pen at any angle or any range. And it’s not half the size and only about 5kmh faster. Are we playing the same game here?
100 meters, 60 degrees: 310. 310/2 = 155. 310 * cosin60 = 155.
Acceleration is also part of the speed bonus.
Still supports my point, yes.
Some liberties yes. But they also seem to make things unbalanced for the sake of historical accuracy. At least with certain nations more than others.
It’s literally in your screenshot, 100m, 60 degrees, 155x2 = 310. 155/cosin60 = 310.
Welcome to angular math.
I’ve shown you the actual numbers ingame and you still deny them. I will now be just disregarding your opinion from now on as you clearly do not play the game.
Yes, you proved me correct. Not sure why you deny the in-game numbers so much.
So you’re disregarding everyone that plays War Thunder… lol
Thanks for telling me to warn others you disregard everyones’ opinions here cause they play War Thunder.
The ingame numbers proved me correct every time, yet you deny in-game numbers.
He is talking about LOS thickness, for example, a 160mm RHA angled 60* provides 320mm of LOS RHA.
Or a 45mm RHA angled 60* provides 90mm LOS RHA (look at the protection analysis for the T-34)
Using this to say that it pens 310 at 100m is purposefully misleading. I don’t really care how the number is justified. When talking about round penetration in warthunder everyone uses the pen table, usually the first number in the top left. The other individual has constantly changed what number he’s been using in an attempt to make it appear as though the HSTVL is shooting M829A2 while the 2s38 is shooting BR-350 when in reality the rounds they fire are nearly identical.
War Thunder states angled penetration in terms of true thickness. A fun thing about modern APFSDS is that it penetrates around 10-20% more LOS RHA than it’s equivalent in unangled RHA.
All the more reason why he shouldn’t be bringing up that number.
Not as pathetic as you but sure keep believe what you want to believe.
LMAO I havent used the classic “no you” response since I was six.
Your previous comment inspired me, you can thank to yourself.
LOS matters more than knowing the plate thickness, especially as there are material differences.
The rounds they fire are not nearly identical.
And YOU are the only trying to make it appear that HSTVL is shooting M829A2 since you’re the only one that mentioned this.
Play WT like the rest of us instead of speaking on matters you haven’t bothered to learn.
I bought the 2S38 couple months ago and play with it at 11.3 completely fine, the thing 100% deserves a BR increase (at least 10.3 or at most 10.7).
Is slower than leopards of 10br and is biger, is just an auto canon on tracks, if you cant deal with it you have a skill issue. And if gajin increise its br in most of europe countries is called fase advertize and it will have serious legal consequences for gajin, most of ppl bought it for the 10br lineup.
I play IPM1 at 12.0 & it’s completely fine. BR increase it to 11.3, or at most 11.7. /s
Just cause you play something and are good with it in higher BRs than it is doesn’t mean it warrants said BR.
