I’m glad you’re on my side.

No one is on your side.

So you’re claiming that I am the ONLY one here that wants BVR to be encouraged…
And no one else is on my side with that?
That’s a brave statement.

Ah yes, now you’re implying that everyone that likes BVR must be insult…
Provoking others with insults is a rule violation.

To reiterate my stance: I want BVR encouraged, the more it’s encouraged the more challenge I have.

Hahaha, i wish you were a troll but i think youre just very special. I hope you find something youre good at in life

Ah yes… you within-visual range addicts are something else.

You cant be serious? To be in a FORUM you need some social capability, might not be your thing, friend. Im sorry

BVR is pretty neat, it just needs EC style missions to actually be intetesting. Or in general mission oriented and rewarded games.

Which is how top tier has to go as far as im concerned. And once you reach that kind of mission style in game, 16v16 is probably not that many players

I was laughing at rezers attempts at putting words in my mouth but i guess it works on his friends hahaha

So it was not a statement on the support base for BVR?

I thought i was commenting on that

Edit: that was the reaction to the post, so id assume that was the case

My statement was stop arguing with razer, he is a troll. And he proved me right

I mean, you should probably take your own advice then?

They had been talking for days, i disarmed him in minutes

No arguing over little drama.

We’re all just trying to figure out how to make Air RB better here.

I don’t mind 16 vs 16, especially where one player can shoot down 5 planes in one match.

I don’t see the point of going back to 8 vs 8 where even 2 players can crash on take off.

Dude, the pro-BVR part of War Thunder aren’t insult no matter how many times you call us that.

@House_of_Schmidt gets it, we’re all here to try & make air RB better.
Disagreeing on minor details is not the end of the world when we all want BVR encouraged.

Granted, I want all of the tiers of threat management encouraged, not just BVR, but obviously I want BVR encouraged.

Thats how forums work?

Well i will untill shown otherwise think that lowering player numbers per match doesn’t fundamentally solve anything. Sure, lowering player numbers on City helps in a sense, but the issue of furbals is fundamentally down to map design. Specifically the objectives on the map and what we are rewarded for doing.

Having 6v6 on city will generate the exact same furbal, except when 1 person dies you have lost 16% of your teams fighting capabilities.

Edit: one has to realize that commiting to a furbal is the optimal way to win. Be it being in the furbal or interviening in it, you want to maximize the firepower advantage.

Lowering player count will certainly help with the current map design, which i agree, completely encourages the furball.

Without changing map designs, the simplest solution is just to lower the player count.

As i stated in early posts, the problem is that the playerbase of Air RB is split. Some like quick tactical engagements and others like longer strategic battles.

The current map design is not horrible for those that like quick tactical engagements. But it doesn’t work at all for those that like longer strategic engagements.

That’s why i advocate for splitting the upper tiers and creating a separate Air RB EC mode with larger maps, longer timers, maintaining 16 vs 16, rolling objectives and respawning.

Then the current Air RB mode can have its team size reduced and can be tailored for those that like the quick engagements.

This way everyone wins.

Yeah something along that tune would certainly work, tho one would probably have to decide what is the “main” vision for Warthunder, and given how the maps are currently its probably something EC-like.

A knife fight mode where its basically 24/7 City is kinda what arcade is anyways. So arcade match without the current arcade tweaks. Which i suppose could be a neat addition.

On some maps like City, sure. But blanket lowering player count i do not see as a solution. Just makes people dislike the maps that do actually do propper objective placements.

And idk if it would be well received on City either as i would assume people like that map for the knife fight it offers.
