Do you need to carry bombs on the pobit to get maw?

Yes, you can mount just one and get the full MAW effect.
Yes thats what i was aiming for, i do so on tornado and i wondered if pobit follows suit.
I gotta ask though do people actually play with MAW on? I find it just wastes my CM too often, I like the missile indicator but I can’t stand having it dump my flares/chaff
IMO I dont have MAW bound to CM release but i find it incredibly useful still.
The main reasons for that are
A) it detects IR launches so you dont get jumped as often from your blind angles
B) it shows pinpoint positon of the missile so defense its easier
And if im in high stress situation where I might die anyway and i still have lot of CMs i just bound MAW to CMs again and let jesus take the wheel.
Yeah I still use it for the indicator but I just don’t let it auto launch CM’s

go to your air battle settings and disable this option like here, then it doesn’t auto-dump

I don’t think MAWS and some more CMs are worth the trade of 1 missile on an already very limited loadout
So you are still down at least one aim120 by mounting that
But still better than nothing I guess
Let the F15 back to 13.0, su27/33 to 13.3, JF17 Mig29smt mig29n F16D kfirC10 to 13.7, J11A SU30 to 14.0, current 14.0 planes to 14.3 is better.
