Min specs for many games basicly which on a fucking 12 years old engine should not have issues after a patch,the graphic its the same,the models are the same BUT they added 2 effects and thats it…and works like horse shit
Used to run this shit box of a game with a GTX 730 back then with potato graphics,update game with improved graphics came,changed all my pc so i can run literally any game but warthunder after patch still works like im playing a toaster,impressive and competent indie game developers right here
So do i,12 GBs of vram and works INSANELY perfect for what it is in ANY game besides WarThunder after the update

high rank gameplay definitely needs some changes, it feels like they went so far for accurate performance of weapon systems that they don’t fit the game.
For all warfare. You can still meet close quarters on the capture points, but you are not FORCED to cancel slide with tanks and whatnot.

There is nothing like War Thunder around but my god can it be annoying. personally i think thae actual underlying things mentioned here like physics, hitboxes, damage models etc do need an overall but they rarely get done and when Gaijin actually do it, it comes with a massive mess of bugs and not implemented well. Optimisation is also a massive thing they dont seem to want to check as when they release the updated maps as half the time when updates come out, a large majority of people have issues with fps drops (at the moment for me its European Province for no reason i can explain has my fps going from 180 to 40 and back up constantly)
The servers are in desperate need of an overhaul, especially with all the cross continent players going into EU servers for example, as the servers just arent able to deal with the massive ping difference and get skill issued. in this case i would want either an update to the servers to make them more reliable, or do as every single other game does nowadays and remove server selection and just auto queue into the server closest to you. For squads as same as other games it would just go based off the host/squad leader again like other games.
Personally for me, i would like to see a change for the final update of the year. Gaijin usually put out 5 major updates in a year, but as everyone knows those updates come with a massive amount of bugs as apparently they dont know what quality check is. I wouldnt mind the idea that in the last update of the year, they spend all that time listening to concerns from the community, going through the bug reports (there are ones from years ago that have been accepted and still have not been actioned) and using this time to actually improve the quality of life of the game so its actually more enjoyable.
War thunder is usually a very fun game, but recently just feel like the QoL updates have been lacking and with no QC of the updates just feels like gaijin are rushing the updates instead of just holding their hands up and saying they need more time to check everything.

I have a simillar issue with stuttering. In my case it seems to be related to sounds of larger/louder explosions, the biggest offender being arty barrage…
I say “sound” because the explosion doesn’t even need to be in my FOV. Even if the xplosion is behind me, my FPS tank down for a second. However, this doesn’t happen everytime. It’s rather random and never happens when flying in an aircraft, no matter how close to an explosion I am…
Also, it’s not a permanent issue. The game runs OK for months and then all of sudden it starts happening. Only to disappear after a couple of days or weeks. I can’t link it to any major or minor game update, nor any updates of my drivers.
My PC specs are Win 11, Ryzen 7 9700X, AMD Radeon RX 9070 16GB, RAM 32GB, playing on 1080p with FPS locked to 60.
But the same was happening on my old rig, too. That was Win 10, Ryzen 5 2600, RX580 8GB, RAM 16GB
i play 1080P with Gigabyte B760/32GB DDR4 3200mHz/I5 12400F/Palit RTX4060. I dont use any DLSS optuons and use native, tho i cant drop my settings now
In reality it’s not only gameplay for high tier vehicles… is gameplay in general.
It needs actual game modes based on what gameplay they offer…not just game modes around controls/realism.
I would give my vote and nominate War Thunder whenever it was available but, come on, War Thunder and Labor of Love at the same time? Either Gabe was high or Gaijin paid to be part of the Steam Awards some way or another because every (some) time there’s a Steam Awards for some reason War Thunder is there, stopping the nonsense, I think I’m just blinded by the bugs, complains and whatnot and I can’t see the love put in this game, maybe in this case the problem isn’t the game but how I see the game.
Anyways, I personally wanted more fixes to collisions, bugs obviously and whatever make or keep the experience more frustrating, I can understand ghost shells but I can’t understand the project either being eaten by a thin layer of bricks or not passing by a space of a window or broken wall, foolish of me expecting that I could take advantage of my position and take out a target behind a cover where I clearly can see but my projectile can’t hit because of the hitbox. Battle of Hürtgen is the best example of terrible asset quality, it still uses old terrain and old assets, meaning worsen hitboxes and all the other issues, although I didn’t noticed much differences from newer to older asset hitboxes.
