You use AI and charge $90?

If it was just the posters I’d say that was probably it and call it a day, but there’s also a few other weird changes like the more crudely painted punk-ish union jacks on the mantlet being replaced by Regulation Proportion Union Flags for some reason that make me think that, for some reason, they had to largely remake the design when making the actual ingame vehicles. It’s genuinely just kind of perplexing

For context, this union jack was fixed:

And here’s the back at a poor angle

Edit

Oh. Gemini’s star is there on the release model. Yikes.

I’d actually call this less correct than the original model since it feels… sort of too ‘Proper’ for the aesthetic the design was going for, if that makes sense?

Notably camouflaged with a shooting star trail, or possibly. Deliberately added as a shooting star for some reason? It notably was not removed when the ones on the albums were, and is conspicuously absent from the beta design

This problem was turned into a mess because they forgot to remove watermark clearly from using free AI prompt.

even if ai made the camo remain the same idu the probblem

Btw I was the first one to write about it and notice it I reported this logo problem this to devs and community managers they really use Gemini AI for make flag design and their 3D artist forget delete Google logo from flag lmao…

Watermark from free AI program they’ve used then its embarrasing lol they can first generate their model using free AI tools, then remove the watermark using another free AI tools, heck they can even manipulate it by using the large canvas then the watermark will be on the edge so just shrink the image then there will be no watermark lol

That’s too much work for Gaijin, so no can’t do.

I actually refusing to believe that a large company like this can be so incompetent. Maybe salary too low so no motivation to work.

They do purchase art from third party sources for things like profile icons and some have been accused of being ai generated but the artist claimed to have made it themself and Gaijin didn’t know if it was AI or not. This could be a similar situation and Gaijin just didnt notice the logo after buying the art

Clearly they’re willing to put in the work to add the watermarks to parts of the design we can see previously didn’t have them though so who knows atp

I just know it’s a bit embarrassing for them.

it’s more a union jack made from tape or spray/hand painted rather than cursed. “Dodgy” flags are a common aesthetic in punk music

it’s what the AI generated as use for promotional material

none of the Challenger 2s have Dorchester blocks taking up more than half of the turret side

AI can’t do art better. It’s all slop and you’re just kind of stupid if you genuinely believe that the profession of artist is going to be replaced by a large language model that can’t create a new concept. It’s not even art, it’s just images. AI slop looks awful and generic, always looks the same. There’s a good reason that nobody other than techbros and out of touch executives think that artists are being made redundant.

At the end of the day, anyone who keeps buying premiums and wondering why the game keeps getting worse needs to realize that they are part of the problem. Gaijin is never going to improve if they continue to make money.

It’s still on Gaijin for not doing their due diligence. Don’t defend them because it’s either “Gaijin knowingly used genAI” or “Gaijin didn’t care enough to look into whether someone they bought assets from used genAI”. Neither of these are good looks for Gaijin.

Lets be real. Ai is the next technological step. Let’s stop crying about it please

The opposite seems to be true since it seems like AI only was used on the in-game design, which has ‘correct’ flags. It’s theoretically possible that they translated the CG model’s texture to the in-game tank with AI and it failed to account for the intent behind the flags looking like that because it’s a computer that copies the placement of pixels in image files and physically can’t understand these things, but AI 3d models and textures are uh. Not exactly great. and by not exactly great I mean ‘basically unusable and prohibitively expensive’ so that’s unlikely

You’re insanely wrong. Almost every field outside of medicine that has tried to incorporate LLMs into the workflow has reported efficiency going DOWN. AI “Art” is a soulless abomination that appeals to people who think the product is the most important part of anything and AI writing is so easy to spot it’s not even funny. LLMs CONSTANTLY get questions wrong (wow who would have guessed that using the entire unfiltered internet as a dataset would have problems) and nobody wants data centers built in their towns. You bought into the hype like a fool and you think that the prices of all computer related hardware going up is a good thing despite the fact that AI is insanely unpopular with the general public and continues to get even more unpopular because it poisons water supplies, contributes heavily to climate change, and just makes misinformation and disinformation much easier to spread.

AI farms are spending insane amounts of resources to create brainrot slop that’s funny only to 13 year olds.
Great technological step.

the tank model does not match any of the Challenger 2s

take a look at the blocks on the side of the OES/Emily then back to that image
