Not against an Ayit. AIM-9D gobble them up. I know what @Mordillo66 means, when Yak28B was flaring away, it was often the last one up. Ayit is slow, but its AIM-9D do the range for it. That’s why F-104s die easily to it. Whereas the Yak would just pop a flare and be on its merry way.

Just realized, Mig21f13 is a better bomber than this

  1. More ammo 60 vs 50 + larger caliber 30mm vs 20mm
  2. Same bomb to base ratio (aka possibility to attack bases with bombload)
  3. Smaller airframe > easier to maneouver
  4. “More maneuverable”
  5. After a bomb run you can exchange your “bombs” for a pair of r3s
